Lovely property, nice and clean with a lovely little welcome pack!

  • 4 of 5

Location of the property is "off the beaten track", quite literally, however this made the property more charming! It didn't take long to get to main roads and investigate the local area. It was lovely to come back to a quiet location after a busy day out.

We had a couple of issues during our stay which were dealt with quickly and professionally. Charles was very quick to respond to emails which tended to be the easiest way to communicate as phone signal could not be relied on.

It perhaps would be useful if in the written information it was clear about which land / fields you were allowed to access as we weren't sure, but this would have been useful to know to walk the dog.

Overall a very lovely holiday home to stay in.

Robin's Nest, Killigorric Farm Cottages

  • 4 of 5

On arrival we were impressed with how large the cottage is, the bedrooms both have plenty of storage space and the beds are extremely comfy. The bathroom is also very big with a corner bath and a large walk in shower.

The kitchen is very well equipped with pans and cooking dishes as well as crockery and China. There is also plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen to store your supplies.

This property is a bit off the beaten track and the satellite navigation can take you down some extremely narrow lanes to get there and back so on occasions it is best to ignore it and follow the initial instruction to get to the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return, I would recommend this property it was exactly as described on the website.

What a fabulous cottage and location......😃😃

  • 5 of 5

The cottage looks small and cosy from the outside but once in it is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge are on the ground floor and downstairs 2 excellent size bedrooms and huge bathroom....... My husband and I shared 5 lovely days there, thoroughly enjoying the space and beautiful views. We were lucky to have fabulous weather which added to the overall holiday, we sat outside in the evenings enjoying the peace and quiet and amazing surroundings. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore all of Cornwall. We will certainly be returning and look forward to staying in Robins Nest cottage again soon. Thank you also for the cream tea waiting for us on arrival, a lovely thoughtful touch.

Good

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Robin's Nest for one week while searching for property between Devon and Cornwall. Aside from the very narrow road and our initial difficulty in locating the exact right building, upon entering we found a completely equipped kitchen, very nice sitting area and two good-sized bedrooms below the ground level entry. It was quiet, private and comfortable. There was a queen-size bed in the larger room and two singles in the other. All were decked out in lovely linens. Good hot water supply (although a bit confusing to figure out).

If we had any real complaint it is that because we were in the area searching to buy our own home, we needed internet access to check listings, receive others from Estate Agents and to reply. Internet access was non-existent. Despite multiple attempts every day, we were never able to connect. Cell phone service was also very difficult and only allowed for brief calls in the garden. The house guide book warns of this problem but not in advance of booking.

We had hoped for completely dark sleeping conditions and the security lights outside the bedrooms on the ground floor were so strong that they shone through the sides of the roller blinds severely disturbing sleep. For security reasons, windows on this level could not be left open for air during the night.

Aside from these two small problems, I would recommend this property to a family.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you had problems with the internet. I appreciate that it can be somewhat tiresome, especially in your circumstances. If I had known I may have been able to guide you through the process. I infact was down at the same property last week for a few days and whilst I did have to reboot the broadband, I did work very well. Regarding the security lights, another very valid point. I will look into this and get this changed. All in all, I hope you had a nice time, and thank you for your kind words. We look forward hopefully of welcoming you back. Until then, good luck in finding your new home Julian
