THE BARN:

A large, stone barn beautifully restored to a high standard. Actual capacity is 2-11* plus two babies can stay free of charge. The barn is so cosy in the WINTER with HEATING in all rooms and a lovely Harmann XXV fire ( automatic- no problems trying to get a warm fire going- lovely ambient temperature) Sorry, no pets.

**Our gite managers clean and prepare our barn for every guest arrival.

Our barn is a self catering property which is superbly maintained, equipped and appointed. The accommodation comprises of: Ground Floor: Bedrooms: 2 king -size bedrooms, 2 twin bedded rooms, 1 single room, 2 deluxe guest beds, two cots; two bathrooms. First Floor: spacious open plan– dining room (seats 11), large, kitchen area, sitting area (seats 10), highchair; games area (table football and snooker table); Harman Poele ( bois granules) for winter use in Sitting/Dining area ( and electric heaters to all bedrooms and bathrooms); laundry room, freezer and toilet. Broadband/Wifi. Mezzanine with SatelliteTV and for DVD use, two-setter settee, books/games/ library, hall.

We lovingly dedicated every holiday from 2001 to 2006 transforming it into the cosy, comfortable beautifully appointed and equipped barn that is enjoyed by all our clients. The area and local people are so welcoming. The scenery and villages are breathtakingly beautiful.

A beautiful barn in a peaceful French village. All that is needed for a perfect holiday!

The barn has been restored to a high standard and is ideally located for families who love the French lifestyle. Beautifully equipped and in a beautiful French village. The pool was just right for young children and very safe.

Beautifully Restored Barn in a Picturesque French Village

Lovely large barn, beautifully restored to a high finish. The large open plan living and dining area is comfortable while still feeling cosy and was more than adequate for the 6 adults in our party. Downstairs the bedrooms are all of a good size and there are 2 good sized bathrooms. Everything was very clean and tidy on arrival and everything anyone could wish for is provided, from the all important corkscrew to the gas fired barbi out by the pool. The garden is a great place to eat when the weather is fine and again loads of room and plenty of shade for those of us who take a while to acclimatise to the lovely French weather. The pool is a reasonable size for a cooling dip and again was spotlessly clean on arrival and was cleaned again during our stay by the lovely Helen and Terry. Cornac itself is an absolutely gorgeous village and the locals are extremely friendly. We'd barely opened the car door on arrival when we were descended upon by a group of locals inviting us to a party on Friday night (who says the French aren't friendly!). With Bretanoux and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne close by shopping and eating out is a doddle. We can certainly recommend Les Flots Bleu in Beaulieu to eat. Great food by the side of the Dordogne river.Excellent!

Communication with the owners Imelda and John was excellent all the way through the booking process and during our stay and with the aforementioned Helen and Terry not far away to sort out any minor issues you can relax and enjoy the beautiful barn and scenery. Would we come back? You bet we will!

Such a relaxing place- excellent accomodation

We could not have wished for more from La Grange du Noyer. Beautifully appointed, every home comfort and a welcome basket with wine, bread, milk,coffee, tea and more on arrival. The weather was super( could not believecwe had no need for coats in February!) We went out everyday- local 9km walks and trips to St Cere, Autoire and Bretenoux. We even went skiing to Le Lioran by train for a day.

Imelda and John made the booking experience so easy and the barn is kept beautifully clean by the local gîte managers.

Would really recommend booking this property!

La Grange Du Noyer was everything we hoped it would be and more in a beautiful area with lots to do

Communication before and during was excellent, both the owners and managers are friendly and helpful. On arrival everything was pristine and supplies of household items are plentiful. We have had a fantastic family holiday and the area is an ideal mixture of adventure, culture, relaxation and hot weather. The weather was so hot it limited some of our activities however it meant we used the pool and bbq frequently.

We would recommend canoeing down the Dordogne, visiting water parks as well as high ropes and zip wires at Rocamadour. We enjoyed River and lake swimming nearby and eating out at lovely restaurants as well as trying the evening markets. The website www.tourisme-lot.com-en is helpful for events and local activities.

A truly memorable holiday in a beautiful part of France.

Simply Stunning

Fantastic property in a quiet rural village (until the kids got in the pool, then the peace was shattered!).

The house was exactly as described, perfect as a base for days out or just lazing around in the sunshine punctuated by the occasional dip in the pool.

There's plenty to do within a 30 min drive of the propery. Enjoyed a great day out Kayaking from Bretenoux which is only 5mins down the road. If you intend to try this wear swimwear under your clothes and old trainers that you're willing to walk around a river in. Take a picnic and plenty of water too. Best time to leave is around 11am which will give about 4 1/2 hours to cover the 10k route (it takes between 2-3hrs) before meeting the bus back this allows plenty of time for that picnic.

Plenty to do at Rocamadour too. Theres a couple of days worth of things to do and see there. (Rocher des Aigles is well worth a visit).

Plenty of good eating to be had at Beaulieu sur-Dordogne. (Les Voyageurs was a personal favourite).

Would I recommend this holiday destination? Definitely.

Would i return?.. In a heartbeat!..

superb property in stunning location

We had a wonderful holiday and the house played a major part in that. we were two families and there was so much room. The house is beautifully finished in every way and everything we needed was there. The garden and pool was just perfect. It is a great location with loads to visit nearby that even in two weeks there was lots missed. very hot holiday and so so relaxing. Cornac village is very quaint and lovely for an evening walk. Thank you so much for making the house so perfect.

The old, pretty village of Cornac is situated in the picturesque Lot region of France. Cornac used to be a wine producing village and is close to the wine producing Glanes area. Pilgrims used to pass through Cornac on their way to Santiago del Compostella, Spain. From the top of the nearby hill you can enjoy the view of the village Tuesdays and Saturdays are the days to visit the bustling market town of Bretenoux, which is also one of the bastide towns renowned in the area. The route from the A20 motorway, exiting at Cressensac, takes you through the village of Martel with its nine towers and past Vayrac, where it is said that the Gauls made their last stand against the Romans. There are so many pretty villages to see- the honey coloured stonework adds charm to the picture postcard look. The ambiance of the area helps you to unwind as soon as you arrive in the area. But when energy levels are high again there are plenty of sporting activites available- skiing is only 1 1/2 hours way by train or car .
