This modern ground floor flat comprises double bedroom, box bedroom with bunk beds. Bathroom, open plan living room with kitchenette off.

French door to patio with seating.

Incredible flat - ideal location and suited our family perfectly

We feel like we "lucked" out beyond expectation with this flat. Not only was the location just so ideal, in the cute and quaint little village of Stockbridge, but the flat was perfectly appointed - clean and quiet and just right for our family of four. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bathroom bright and clean and all four of us slept well on the beds. The little patio was a bonus - a perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee. The hosts left us all the information along with a cute personalized welcome snack that our boys enjoyed (okay maybe the grown ups had a little) thoroughly. I just cannot say enough about how well treated we felt, and I know we will talk about and reflect on this experience many times in future. It is such a joy when you go to a city you've never been to, and once you get to know it, you realized you had everything ideal and perfect. The local shops and pubs were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the location for a morning run - a great flat neighborhood for a run or walk. Thanks again for the great stay!

Great Stay

Loved the place, rooms were good size, Host had Scottish treats for a welcome and also a book full of info for travelers. Rental was close to downtown, great location. No parking issues, and Host responded quickly to questions. The best place we have stayed at through VRBO.

A wonderful week in Stockbridge/Edinburgh

We were really glad that we chose to arrive by taxi! Dragging our suitcases up and down the hills on arrival day would have been difficult. The directions were perfect and the taxi knew Hector's Pub so we were all set. The lock box was not easy for one of us, but worked for the other - whew! We so wished the weather had been just a bit warmer for breakfast on the patio and did wonder where the water comes from which leaves a puddle there every morning. Tulips, cookies, candy and enough in the cupboards for tea and coffee were a wonderful touch. Thank you.

The bunk beds don't work for an adult. The heat was great - we never put it on in the bedroom but did need it for a bit evenings in the main room. The black booklet with suggestions etc. was very useful and we appreciated it.

We loved having a neighborhood to come back to after full days in museums, castles, the Highlands, and churches. By the end of our stay we were quite good at finding our way around. We arrived on a grey day and left with full sunshine. What more can one ask for?

Great location - lovely little apartment.

The first thing to say is that the flat is much more attractive than the photos suggest! It is very well equipped and furnished and the location in the heart of Stockbridge gives you easy access by bus or on foot to all the Edinburgh attractions while at the same time you are close to wonderful food shops in what feels like a friendly village. Walk the Water of Leith to the Modern Art Galleries or, for a longer walk, down to Leith and the shore.....Edinburgh is a seaside town with a small mountain in the middle!

Lovely flat in a convenient area!

This was our first time in Edinburgh and while it wasn't central (knew this when we booked), the area was still very convenient. There was easy parking and it was a short bus ride to city center. Cliff left a friendly note, treats, and a full packet of suggestions. There are a few pubs just around the corner from the flat, so if you want to stick around area, there's options! Definitely recommend!

Our amazing stay in Stockbridge

This is the PERFECT spot to stay and explore the amazing city that is Edinburgh! Cliff was very friendly and helpful, and left treats for us at the apartment and lots of information about Stockbridge and Edinburgh. The space is clean, cozy with a small kitchen and laundry, which was so appreciated, and has fabulous restaurants and pubs right outside the door! (Stockbridge Tap, Hector's and the Buffalo Grill were visited often!) It was the perfect space we needed after a long week of sight-seeing. It's a 20 minute or so walk to Princes Street, and Stockbridge itself is so gorgeous, we spent a whole day just exploring the neighbourhood. Don't miss the market on Sundays, as well as St. Bernard's Well, Stockbridge Colonies, Water of Leith Walkway, and the Botanical Gardens. It truly felt like a home-away-from-home. Plus, if you're a BBC's North & South fan, as I am, "Milton" is just around the corner on St. Stephen's Street!! I only realized that after we got home. :) (swoon!) Our stay was this last fall during the referendum, and we felt very privileged to be there!

I would recommend this location to anyone who is planning on a stay in Edinburgh. Thanks to Cliff and Catriona for their lovely apartment and hospitality! We certainly hope to be back soon!

Local parks include the beautiful Botanical Gardens and Inverleith Park and are both only 5 minute walks from the flat.

A stone’s throw away are the Glenogle Swimming Baths –a modern pool in a unique Victorian setting.
