Idyllic and magical houseboat in quaint village 10 mins (1 bus) from Amsterdam Central. Nice people!
Beautiful Amsterdam: Perhaps you visit for the coffee bars, Red Light District, waterways, bicycles, museums and other notable features. My advice? Save $200 or more a night and stay in this cozy, close home located in a fairy tale village! Rik and Aleid are great hosts and this detached 1 bedroom home has everything needed for an enjoyable stay: Mini kitchen, Smart TV, patio, coffeemaker, hair dryer, etc. They live in a house on the property if guests need anything. My back porch opens up to a lake and ducks swam up to greet me every morning. I would highly recommend this rental.
Lovely, rural, yet very close to Amsterdam. We loved staying here!
We loved this peaceful space outside Amsterdam. On one side are fields and canals for miles and miles, and directly outside the bedroom is a canal where ducks greeted us each morning. The accommodations offered everything we were looking for in a place to stay. Rik was helpful and could not have been more welcoming. We highly recommend this lovely space.
Thank you, Julie. It was very nice you and your husband stayed with us.
Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful little villiage
Really nice homely place to stay. Rik is a fantastic host and has a lovely place for guests
Beautiful very modern appartment
The property is about a 10 minute bus trip into central Amsterdam. I stayed here for 4 days and took the bus daily as it was so easy to get around. Spent one evening in the village of Broek in Waterland and had an excellent meal and quieter evening. I would highly recommend the property and the location. I travelled with my friend but the property would also be great for couples. Rik was helpful and friendly and on hand if required but respected our privacy
Thank you, Lucy. Hope you had a pleasant stay in the Netherlands!!
Great get away from the city
Beautiful accommodation out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Great hosts, collected us from bus stop on arrival, and had put wine and beeer in fridge for us plus coffee supplies. It’s a lovely 10 min walk to the bus stop through the estate which looks like a model village, then a 15 min bus trip to city, never had to wait more than 5 mins for a bus. €6 euros single trip so would highly recommend the travel pass, buy at the airport as it includes airport to city and return, plus all your trips to and from Broek and surrounding areas. Highly recommend, would stay again
Lovely place owned by very nice people
This is very comfortable and cosy house located in a peaceful area couple of minutes drive from Amsterdam. You can enjoy the fairy-tale type location, feed the birds in the canal from the small patio next to the bedroom, sit under the sun in the front yard... Paradise... And all these for a reasonable price.
The house is decorated with taste and has all amenities needed for a short stay. Extremely nice host, Risk, is ready to assist if anything is needed.
If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge your energy - this is your choice. #1 option to stay during the future visits.
So close to Amsterdam; where else to be?
Historical places in Edam (cheesemarket), Volendam (cheese, wooden shoes and clothes), Monnickendam (historical tour with guide).
