This is a beautiful property!!! Located in the heart of Tuscany...We loved it!!
This property is spacious, clean, located in the heart of Tuscany. Easy to find. Property manager very helpful and accommodating. Will recommend to friends and family.
thank you for your review, much appreciated. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, it has been a pleasure to have you, and thanks for taking care of the apartment during your stay.
A very well appointed property in a delightful rural setting
The local representative was a very helpful lady but spoke no English which made for some difficulties, particularly in finding the property in the dark as we were unaware that it was down a 1.5K unmade-up country track on the outskirts of San Gimignano. Much more detailed directions to the property would have been useful and we might not have got lost!
The apartment, as part of a modernised converted country house, was set in an attractive quiet rural location although it might not be ideally suited for the aged or infirm due to the fairly steep climb and number of stairs leading to the property. There was a large recently refurbished pool although the landscaping around the pool was fairly rough bare ground and would appear to be "work in progress" at the moment. Nevertheless, the property worked very well indeed and particularly the mezzanine area which was an open-air covered entrance way, ideal for sitting out of the very hot sun or relaxing in the evening. An excellent location for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the very busy town of San Gimignano.
Dear David, thank you for your review, much appreciated. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, it has been a pleasure to have you, and thanks for taking care of the apartment during your stay. Ciao, Franco
Location conforme au descriptif. Très bonne situation. Belle piscine.
Dear Jean Marc and family, thank you for your review, much appreciated. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, it has been a pleasure to have you, and thanks for taking care of the apartment during your stay. Ciao, Franco
Grazie Franco.
an Gimignano, a small walled village about halfway between Florence and Siena, is famous for its fascinating medieval architecture and towers that rise above of all the other buildings offering an impressive view of the city from the surrounding valley.
At the height of its glory, San Gimignano's patrician families had built around 72 tower-houses as symbols of their wealth and power. Although only 14 have survived, San Gimignano still retains its feudal atmosphere and appearance.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990, San Gimignano offers visitors the chance to step back in time while enjoying its local products including saffron and its white wine, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
Must-sees during your visit to San Gimignano are the Palazzo Comunale, Pinacoteca and Torre Grossa, the tallest tower in the city from which you can enjoy a unique 360° view over all of San Gimignano. If you have time, also visit the Archeological Museum where the second floor houses the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery, a mix of the ancient past and more relatively recent past.
