Stunning studio apartment in converted barn sleeping 2 + 2

This beautiful barn studio is situated within the farm grounds with their 7 acres of fields and woodland and provides ideal accommodation for those on a restricted budget. It is perfect for a couple and there is a sofabed for additional guests.

The studio is accessed via the main farmhouse courtyard and is totally self contained with its own entrance. The studio has only recently been converted with the aim of retaining the original character and features yet provide modern and open plan accommodation with high standards of comfort. The first impression as you enter is one of air and light, the light comes from two windows and two skylights. The main room comprises a fully equipped kitchen area, a sofa bed (sleeps one adult or two children), a double bed, wardrobe and 2 bedside tables, coffee table and TV. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, sink and microwave with ample crockery, saucepans provided. There is a separate shower room with walk in shower, vanity unit and loo with a skylight providing natural light.

The barn is situated next to the main farmhouse but is self contained with its own private parking.

Outside in the grounds there is a picnic bench for your use, overlooking paddocks with horses including our Shetland ponies, much loved by our guests. A variety of sandy beaches and the famous Pembrokeshire cliff paths are within a fifteen minute drive and the county town of Haverfordwest with a wide choice of shops and restaurants is ten minutes drive away. The local country pub is also closeby, just a few minutes walk so no need to drive. The barn provides a perfect base to explore Pembrokeshire; beautiful and historic St Davids with its marvellous cathedral is less than half an hour away and picturesque Solva and Littlehaven are a short drive.

About Margaret Kinlay

I bought Upper Calf field Farm, the main house, seven years ago and have spent all that time doing it up. I have converted two barns - Upper Calf field Barn and very recently finished the studio.

I absolutely love Pembrokeshire. I love the sandy beaches, the beautiful cliff paths, the wild flowers and wildlife. There is so much to do for children whatever the weather e.g a chocolate factory, an aircraft hanger with a huge range of trampolines, go-karting etc...

I purchased Upper Calf field Farm because I love the sense of space here, the feeling that you are "away from it all" yet convenience for amenities, a hospital, shops and restaurants. I hope you will love it too.

The barn is in a country farm setting yet with a river five minutes walk away. it is a ten minutes drive to Haverfordwest and all amenities. It is only 15 minutes drive from the coast, beaches and cliffpaths.

A Perfect Pad

Accommodation was absolutely perfect for our visit as was the weather. It was immaculate with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome pack was also a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We were lucky enough to be shown round the 'Barn' which is stunning. Would definitely recommend either properties to anyone thinking of holidaying in the area and hopefully we will get the opportunity to return again soon. THANK YOU June & Iain

Lovely stay, nice and quiet and a beautiful location with easy access to Pembrokeshire coast. Milk in the fridge and a nice welcome basket. We would happily stay here again and recommend a stay here. Thank you very much.

Highly recommend

The cottage itself looks newly renovated, lovely inside and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for two. It is in a great location, out in the quiet country side but very easy to get to. 10 to 15 minutes to the coast with a great coastal walk and 10 minuets to the closest town. Margaret was very easy to contact and really helpful. She provided us with a great information email and even messaged us ahead of time to let us know we could have later than usual check out as no one else was arriving that day. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful or adventurous get away. Also the milk was very helpful as we forgot ours!!

Brilliant location, lovely spotless studio, seamless check-in

Great location to get to lots of great places in Pembrokeshire. Studio was lovely style and spotlessly clean. Also very warm with a great shower and bathroom.

Margaret was in contact wellahead of our stay with lots of information. Easy and friendly check-in. Sean, the caretaker was nearby and very friendly, in case we needed anything.

Bed was a little small and slightly uncomfortable but otherwise great. Fridge was a little noisy at night.

Milk was provided -and a lovely welcome gift of some Welsh cakes. But would be brilliant if there was a few more essentials provided in the kitchen.. oil, a little butter, pepper, if possible. An OS map of the area would have benn brilliant too.

Loved this studio though and will hopefully be back again very soon - thank you!

Lovely 'mini barn'

perfect for 2, this is a very nice little conversion, everything very clean and it was cosy in the autumn when we visited. There is a useful pub opposite and the coast is a short drive away with many great beaches. I agree with a previous review, the bed would benefit from a new as it was rather soft.
