The West Wing at Cammach House

Overview

About the property

The West Wing is a self-contained annexe of Cammach House which is situated not far from the main A90 nestled in the countryside with a splendid outlook and the sunsets are quite stunning. There is a small kitchen area within a large living room, separate bedroom with en suite, private garden and patio; outdoor furniture provided.

You will have your own private entrance, parking space and can dine al fresco on the beautifully appointed patio area.

Should you wish to enjoy a chef prepared evening meal you can request this at the time of booking. Dietary requirements and preferences catered for. Please feel free to enquire.

We are in a rural setting looking out onto the countryside. It is very quiet as the road is only used by the local houses and there is no street lighting. Lovely location for peace and relaxation. That said we are 8 miles from the city of Aberdeen, 8 miles from the harbour town of Stonehaven, 1 mile from a small retail centre.

We love meeting people and are happy to offer up ideas from our extensive knowledge of the area if asked. We are well travelled with a real love of life and always happy to help with directions, ideas, recommendations or just a chat over coffee.

While nestled in a quiet hamlet within secluded and stunning Scottish countryside you can easily explore Royal Deeside, castles, distilleries, spectacular walks, ancient fishing villages as well as quality eateries right on your doorstep.

Getting around

The train stations nearby are in Portlethen (1 mile), Stonehaven (8 miles) and Aberdeen (8 miles). Bus stop is a three minute walk. We can help out with pick ups if required.

I'm sorry, however, we can accommodate pets.

Wonderful home, spectacular hosts.

My wife and I were in Scotland helping our son get settled at Aberdeen University so we rented Cammach house for 18 days and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The drive to downtown Aberdeen is about 12 miles away. There is local shopping available for groceries and other goods about 15 minutes away by car. Sheila, the owner of Cammach House, is extremely accommodating and very organized. She had folders with maps and information on local sites to visit and answered all our questions. We were more than pleased to meet her and stay in her home. The West Wing (where we stayed) is private and the home was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend Cammach House.
