An Oasis in the City!
A fantastic house located in the best part of Lagos with very easy access to F&B, shopping & beach, it couldn't be better. Great property manager experience, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay there longer next time. Mark Grainger - Hong Kong
Photos don’t do this place justice!
This house is simply stunning. The photos really don’t do it justice, and in fact the main living area has lots of new furniture and pieces in that aren’t shown in the current photos.
Put simply, the house was perfect for our holiday. Great location, perfect size and space for 2 families to live happily in, and clean and modern facilities. We’d definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting Lagos.
Dear Joanna, thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to host you.
You are always welcome to Casa do Governador. Best wishes. Miguel.
Really lovely villa !
We are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers. This is a great villa in a brilliant location. We didn’t need to hire a car as everything is on the doorstep.
Thank you Vicki.
It was great to have you and your family at Casa do Governador. You are the perfect guests.

Ir was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely family, Sandra.
Thank you for your kind words.
Looking forward to your next holiday at Casa do Governador.
What a paradise in the heart of Lagos
We were two families with two kids each (so 8 in total).
Basically you have a ground floor with one master bedroom, bathroom and the room with the bunk beds. then there is the ground floor with living room, kitchen, garden, pool. Then you climb to the first floor where there are two more bedrooms and two bathrooms. and then - this was the very best part for us - there is a small terrace on the very top where you can watch sunset and sun going up. it was soo beautiful!
The pictures really dont do the house justice. We liked the mix of unusual and Ikea furniture and the modern art was great as well.
The size of the place is amazing. you could probably build 20 of the little houses around on the place where the garden and the house stands. the place is as good as it is in the pictures but better. The garden and everything was in great shape. The best thing you could get away from each other easily by using the different areas. Perfect for large families.
The pool is gated. The parking spots are perfect for a house in the inner city. There is a cute little bar where only locals seem to go just across the street from the garage portal. Lovely owners. Recommended!
You are superclose to the city and the beaches. Also there is a yoga studio 2 min walk away with drop in classes starting at 10 Euro/class. They also offer massages. It was definitely worth while!
The only (minor) point: We would have appreciated some basics as a starting point such as spices, vinegar, oil or some cleaning products which we all had to buy (at least some as a starting point).
But we can whole heartedly recommend the place to everyone and would return in any case.
Lagos is an ancient maritime town with more than 2,000 years of history.
The majority of the population lives along the coastal line and works in tourism and services. The inland region is sparsely inhabited, with the majority of the people working in agriculture and forestry. Lagos is one of the most visited cities in the Algarve and Portugal, due to its big variety of beaches, bars, restaurants, and hotels. It is also renowned for its vibrant nightlife and parties, especially during summer.
This town has the oldest slave market in Europe (dating back to the 15th century) and it was in Lagos that Caravels were build and set sail to the new world. Since 1960, the city has embraced tourism, which has become its most important economic activity. It has beautiful beaches, good climate, the sea, a scenic coastline, and historical patrimony. The Marina de Lagos has 460 berths and has become an important centre for long-distance cruisers, and it's also famous for its modern drawbridge.
