We had a lovely time at Beecher's Cabin. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family of eight which included four children. The outside deck and patio areas which included a hammock were well used during our visit. Upon arrival, we noticed that the air conditioning wasn't cooling. Normally this would not have been a problem but the temps that week were warm and the inside temps in the house rose to 84 degrees at one point. However, the management company was responsive and sent a serviceman out that day. A whole new system was needed and it was installed within a few days. There were fans in the house which we used at night so we slept fine as it did cool off in the evening. Overall, our stay at Beecher's cabin was great.
Nice house in the woods
Lovely cabin. To clarify the bedrooms: the "master" bedroom has 1 queen, wood floors, a fireplace, an in-room bathroom, and is down the hall a bit from the kitchen. Second bedroom has 1 queen, carpeting, and is off the dining room. Third bedroom has 1 queen and 1 twin bunk, is decorated more like a kid's room, and is in the basement off the pool table room. The loft looks out over the main living room but does have ample space to sleep/play. The sleeping area above the garage is pretty bare bones, with no bathroom, and is a short walk from the house (the garage is not right next to nor attached to the house), but sleeps 4 just fine. Although there are a lot of rooms, each room is relatively small. Makes it feel cozy, but more difficult to fit many people in one room. Ellison Bay was very quiet at this time of year (winter), so don't plan on doing much there. Sister Bay (15 min drive) has more things to do. This house is at the very tip of the peninsula, and it does feel a little remote for better or worse. It is not on the lake, but if you walk along the road, you can get to an area to see the lake. Don't count on the internet to work very well.
