Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday home in Lake Garda - Weddings perfect house

5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 8

The apartment occupies an independent house located in the hearth of Malcesine historical centre.

It has 3 double-bed rooms and two single-bed rooms, kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms with shower.

The room on the 1st floor has a large terrace, while another open air area for the guests is a courtyard beside the garden, to enjoy meals and sunbathing. Kitchen is fully equipped for 8 persons, with all necessary utensils.

During winter 2011 the whole house was under partial inner and outside renovation, including brand new bathrooms and kitchen. This cosy house is located 1 minute walking distance from shops, restaurant, market and the CASTLE: a worldwide famous site where fabulous weddings are celebrated.

It is possible to organize small wedding parties , in the garden, in the afternoon, at the owner's discretion and respecting the neighbors .

During your staying In Malcesine we recommend to visit the Castle where you find the permanent Museum of Natural

History of Mount Baldo and Lake Garda, displaying several findings and illustrative tables of the native species of flora

and fauna in the Garda territory, and a Museum dedicated to J.W. Goethe.

During summers the Castle hosts art exhibitions, lirical or jazz concerts: updated calendar of these events available on

Further concerts are almost every night enjoyable in pubs or bars while on picturesque corners buskers from all the world play their repertories.

Again on the path of love for music: in Malcesine we have an Association named Il Garda in Coro promoting events regarding children's choirs. They organize national and international activities such as choral competition. This

year there will be a national competition from 19th to 22nd May, while next year 2012 an international competition.

In addition to the world famous Venice and Verona (organized excursions can be booked by any Travel Agency in

Malcesine) we suggest to pay a visit to Trentino, the region on the north of the Lake with which Malcesine has a strict

historical and cultural relation since centuries.

Two towns there are worth to be visited: Rovereto (30 km drive) and Trento (60 km drive) for their beautiful Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance buildings and for remarkable Museums: MART (Museum of Art)

Rovereto Trento, and Fortunato Depero Museum: an eclectic artist

belonging to the Italian early XX cent. Futuristic Movement

We also suggest a tour of Trentino castles, and the Historical Oil

Museum of Bardolino approx 25 km towards south from Malcesine

Malcesine and Garda Lake where visited and admired during the 18th and 19th century from intellectuals, writers, poets, painters on their way for the Grand Tour through Italy: Franz Kafka, Friedrich Nietzsche, Thomas Mann, Sigmund Freud, Rainer Maria Rilke, Albrecht Duerer, Gustav Klimt, Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, and Johann Wolfgang Goethe who wrote in his Tagensbuch about his very first glance to the Lake: With that yearning I want my friends are

here with me a moment to enjoy the view that lies before me?

There is the possibility to gather a small wedding party in the garden, in the afternoon, keeping in mind that there are neighbors .Please ask the owner for details.

Great place ideal for castle

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little place ideally located for the castle and all areas of Malcesine. Laura was very helpful during the booking process even arranging transfers for us and making sure everything we required in the house for a toddler was there e.g travel cot extra blankets etc.

We were greeted by Barbara on arrival who escorted us to the house and made sure we were comfortable during our stay.

We were there for my brothers wedding and it was in a perfect location with little distance to walk and we were able to go back to rest the children before the evening.

The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the house was very well equipped with a washing machine, iron and beach towels for when we visited the lake for a paddle!

The outside courtyard was lovely for relaxing in an afternoon and very safe for the children as there is a gate to stop them from wandering into the street so ideal for them to play out with toys or do colouring etc.

Ideally placed for shops restaurants etc, a baker, pasta takeaway, ice cream parlour, pizzeria and supermarket were all a 30 second walk away so everything you need on your doorstep!

My only concern was the bannisters on the staircase As my 1 year old could fit through the balustrades but obviously we kept him under strict supervision so he was fine and also it was quite noisy at night as you could hear people in the cafes below but this didn't bother us as we were so tired at night we just crashed out so maybe if you want peace and quiet you would be advised against stopping in the town anyway. In All though a great stay and a great place to stop.

Beautiful hidden house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for my wedding and it could not of been more perfect. We had 6 adults and 1 child staying in the house and there was more than enough room. The lay out the house is perfect and so comfortable. When you arrive through the front gate the out side terrace is beautiful and is alot bigger than the photos give it justice. The rooms are all a very generous size and well decorated.

The location is perfect you are in the heart of the town but hidden enough to not be on a main walk way and it doesn't matter anyway because you are locked away by the main doors. If you are getting married here you could not be in a better location i only had to walk about 10 steps up the lane and i meet the tuk tuk man there.

This house truly is beautiful and i could not recommend it enough to you!

Perfect house for our wedding

  • 5 of 5

We got married in Malcesine and we looked long and hard for a place that would be able to cater for a family of 5 adults and our 13 month old daughter.

We found this house to be the best option for us and from the moment we booked the house we knew we had made the right decision. We dealt with LauRA who booked the house for us and was always happy to answer any questions and provide us with all the things we needed for the house, such as a cot and even arranging for our transfers from Verona airport.

The house itself has 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are extremely generously proportioned, with one having a large balcony with views of the castle. This came in handy for the wedding pictures!! One bathroom downstairs with a shower, and one on the top floor. The living room is comfotable and the Kitchen well stocked. You enter the house through big gates just off a quiet street and there is a big patio area, beautifully kept with garden furniture. We ended up having a large party of wedding guests round the day before the wedding and everyone had a place to sit!

Barbera, who actually owns the house, was there to welcome us, as well as answer any questions.

The house is situated at the top of Malcesine town centre and is perfect as you are not in the thick of it, but slightly removed from all the tourists whilst only being 30 seconds from the shops and beautiful cafe's and restaurants. It's a spectacular setting and we had the most perfect wedding. Knowing we had such a great basecamp with everything we needed, was a weight off our shoulders!

This house would be perfect for families and wedding party's. The stairwell is quite narrow and has limited protection for young ones so we had to keep an eye on our little one but as long as your diligent it never presented an issue for us.

If they gave the option of 6 stars we would have given it 6!!

When we arrived in Malcasine, we were greeted by Barbara who welcomed us with open arms. On the morning of my nephews wedding, the owner of the villa, Laura, came to wish us luck. It was such a pleasure to meet Laura & Barbara. They are both so helpful in every way possible.

The location of the villa was ideal for our holiday. Walking distance to everywhere. Ideal location to shops, the castle & the front of Lake Garda. We went on a boat trip around Lake Garda. This was amazing. The property was absolutely spotless. Very well looked after. Barbara was always there when we needed her & nothing was any bother.

If we were ever to return to Lake Garda, we will definatly be making contact with Laura & Barbara again & would recommend this villa to anyone.

Many thanks,

Margaret Waldron

Family Holiday and Wedding

  • 5 of 5

We arrived in Malcesine and was greeted by the lovely Barbara who looked after us for the whole week.

The house is extremely central and could not be better for my daughter's wedding at the castle. There was plenty space in the house for the 6 of us to stay and get ready for the wedding - definitely plenty of room for the bride to get ready.

The house was spotless from top to bottom, and was well stocked with everything to get us settled. The patio outside is fantastic for lounging and relaxing, great for kids and very private.

The house is very close to the market and a few shops, restaurants and bars and has a fantastic view of the castle.

This house is ideal for a family holiday in a lovely town. So many people who came to the wedding said Malcesine was a wonderful place to visit and many said they would return. We felt Barbara could not do enough to make our stay comfortable, and even gave us lovely champagne flutes to use on the morning of the wedding. The photos do not do this house justice!

Thanks for a wonderful week in Malcesine!

Malcesine, Lake Garda Italy

  • 5 of 5

date of stay 1-10 April 2012

This house is in an incredibly central location, a few steps walking distance from the castle , the market, shops and restaurant. We were 8 people ( 2 families with 4 children ) and it was absolutely perfect. The outside patio has been a perfect spot for the children to play while I was cooking and a enjoyable place to lunch looking at Monte Baldo and the medieval castle.

The house is very well equipped with anything one can need and spacious. It is wonderful to leave the gate without worrying about cars or traffic as cars are not allowed in this street.

There is no need to hire a car if you stay here as everything is literary a few steps away. We took some excursions with the ferry and our kids were so excited ! Something new and different. After we saw several other towns around the lake, we came to the conclusion that Malcesine deserves, indeed , the name of "The pearl of the lake ".

Barbara was extremely kind and helpful and dealing with Laura with the process of booking couldn't be easier.

I will recommend this house to anybody who likes comfort , cosiness and space.
