Old Hundredth was just perfect for what we were looking for. Cozy, clean and well positioned in heart of village . Ideal location for local beaches and visitor attractions in this area. Stunning scenery, beautiful rolling landscapes, golden unspoilt beaches along heritage coastline, charming 16th Inn with great food and genial hosts right on our doorstep. Really lovely time had by the whole family.
This property had been recommended to us by a friend who had stayed at Old Hundredth on a couple of previous occasions so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. It was very much to our expectations and as our friends had described. We have a small family and this cottage was just perfect. It was very well maintained and cared for by it’s owner and their local caretaker and provided all the amenities and facilities that we needed. Fantastic location in close proximity to lots of local beaches and coves which made for an idyllic country cottage holiday.
Ideal, spent a very enjoyable and relaxing 2 weeks at this beautiful country cottage which is perfectly located to enjoy the surrounding beauty spots and the most stunning scenery and beaches that Devon has to offer. Home from Home. Would definitely recommend.
The cottage we stayed in was an excellent place to spend a week for our chosen family holiday. The cottage is in a beautiful Devon village close to a very friendly local pub.
It was a nice break for myself and family especially for my mother after a long running illness. By the time we left my mother looked just how she used to before her illness.
The local area is populated with some of the most breath taking scenery in the world. The cottage was a lovely home to retreat to each night.
We enjoyed our stay, the cottage is cosy and peaceful despite being handily place next door to the village pub on one side and the village church on the other. The garden is a lovely terraced typical cottage garden.
The area is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the many walks in the area certainly dont dissappoint
had a most enjoyable week at this lovely quaint cottage. Everything was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The spacious open plan kitchen/diner with large farmhouse table was absolutely ideal for our family mealtimes. If you love cooking ( we do ) , there's no need to worry about utensils and equipment as the owners have provided just about everything even a seasoned chef would be likely to need. If you don't then no worries either as there's the fabulous Dolphin Inn right next door serving great food at reasonable prices and no concerns about driving home afterwards if you happen to like more than just the occasional glass of wine. Greta location also as a base for touring with some delightful secluded beaches within walking distance at Wonwell or a little further afield at Bigbury Bay and Salcombe All in all a wonderful time had by all. Will definitely be re-booking at the next opportunity.
