The Leukerbad area: Leukerbad is situated in the heart of the Alps at a height of 1400m. It is the largest thermal resort in the Alps. Around four million litres of thermal spring water gush out of the rock every day. It flows into whirlpool baths and steam baths, supplies massage showers and saunas, feeds 22 swimming pools and contributes to 250 different wellness treatments. Great for a wellness break or after a long day on the slopes or to relax after a long hike.
Leukerbad boasts over 200 km of hiking trails in the Summer, a via-ferrata route that climbs to the Daubenhorn, a magnificent panorama from the Torrent region and a sports centre where guests can enjoy tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, mini-golf.
The Valais region: The Valais region of Switzerland is truly the heart of the Alps - home to the country's highest peaks, extreme mountain terrain and renowned ski resorts such as Zermatt and Verbier. But a visit to the region does not have to mean just skiing, as even in Winter there is plenty to explore for the non-skier.
Hiking, adventures, culture and gastronomy can all be enjoyed in stunning surroundings. 8000km of hiking trails meander across mountains and through forests under a sun which seems to shine forever. The Valais region enjoys 320 days sunshine on average per year and as a result miles and miles of vineyards can be found clinging to the mountain slopes in the Summer. The neighbouring village of Varen has earned itself a reputation as a leader in the production of organic wine.
The Valais region also owns a region which UNESCO has designated as the first alpine heritage area in the world thanks to the Aletsch Glacier, the longest in Europe.

The apartment is spotlessly clean, well equipped and had an excellent view from the balcony. I enjoyed my stay there for 1 week and is an excellent base for a walking holiday.

Cute little apartment within a very nice and clean building. The concierge Thomas was excellent too!
Loved our room where we had everything we could possibly need. The apartment has beautiful views of the mountains. Getting to the centre of town is a bus journey away which is free with the card you get from the concierge or it is about a 15 mins walk along a road with beautiful views. There isn’t anything bad I can say about the place or people. Would definitely go back there again and would recommend others to go here too.
Hi Ilhaam, I am so glad that you and your daughter enjoyed your stay in Leukerbad and hope that you can visit again soon. Best wishes, Alex & Phil
Beautiful quiet location in lovely welcoming village
No complaints at all, everything was great. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, everything you could need was there and the transport links are brilliant. I travelled by train from London to reduce carbon footprint and the journey was very smooth.
The thermal baths are incredible and I would definitely like to go back one day. The view from the balcony is lovely. I received lots of useful info before my trip too. Highly recommend.
