Spacious and modern living on Fish Island

Impressive two bedroom apartment on the second floor of a modern block, not too distant from revitalised Stratford, East London. Access is via a lift/elevator; the block is gated and has reserved parking for one car. The living room/kitchen/dining area is large and has feature windows opening onto the River Lea, Old Ford Lock and London's 2012 Olympic Stadium. The kitchen area is reasonably well equipped, complete with fridge, freezer coffee maker, microwave, oven and four-ring hob. The living area has a large, curved screen TV, DVD player, Sky satellite services and a PS3. Passable Internet/WiFi is provided, too.

The main bedroom is a good size and has an en-suite bathroom with shower. It also has patio doors opening to a balcony. The second bedroom is without an en-suite, but is a good size..

The main bathroom is fully equipped and contains an excellent washer and drier.

The apartment is clean and tidy and is characterised by the eclectic collection of curious, including a Mini Car sofa, a bust of Sterling Moss and set of branding irons!

It was a very comfortable place to stay for our few days in London and I would recommend it, especially as the owner was super-helpful, as were the cleaner and her taxi-driver husband. The ride to Heathrow on our last day was a godsend.

The few downsides included the feeling that the apartment seemed a little tired; it looked quite well used and possibly in need of a slight refresh. The windows in the living room could have done with blinds, given that we had one person sleeping in there and there was also no kitchen paper available. I'd have liked to have seen a visitors' folder, too, with local information and recommendations, over and above the information the owner provided online. The apartment was some little way from the Underground, train and DLR services, with Pudding Mill Lane being the closest station, some 10-15 minutes walk away.

Overall, though, a great place to stay if you don't want to be in Central London and are happy to use public transport.

Great Apartment in a central location

The apartment was amazing and in a great location. John was great at answering all my questions and sent a wealth of information about facilities and restaurants and places to visit in the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully visit again soon.

Fabulous Location, Fabulous apartment!!

We stayed for 2 nights at the lovely Stratford Bow Olympic Park Apartment. it was the perfect location and setting to wake up to on a sunny spring morning.

John the Landlord was spot on with information and direction, if you had an queries whether they be little or large, john would answer to them. We cannot fault this fabulous apartment and are thankful it all went well for our weekend.

4 adults shared and everyone thoroughly enjoyed this stay.

There are the normal wear and tear things you'd expect to find in an apartment which will more than likely get done on maintenance days. However we were like fairies and hardly touched anything due to spending most our time out in London.

Thanks again John for a fabulous stay and we are looking for our next stay at the Canary Wharf apartment :)

Great location

Location was ideal for both West End and Canary Wharf. We had a long weekend for the Marathon and the apartment worked much better than hotels as we have previously used. Home comforts and good kitchen were ideal for meals 'in' although Canary Wharf is just a 10 min walk away for a wide choice of restaurants and bars if you don't want to cook.

Would highly recommend.
