Amazing pool and garden area
The villa has a beautiful garden area and a lovely big pool to enjoy. There is a roof terrace with an amazing view. The outside bar is a good hit also. The scenery really is beautiful. The villa itself has 4 bedrooms, all en-suite which is fab. The rooms were all nice sizes ranging from a twin to quad rooms. The beds were not comfortable at all unfortunately, the mattresses very hard and a distinct smell of dust on the sheets and pillows. The inside of the furniture (wardrobes and chests) also had the same dusty stale smell. The “living area”, and this is just my opinion, is not really suitable for a single large group (we were a family of 13), there is not enough sofa space to all sit together but there was a large enough table for us all to sit at. The kitchen is a restaurant kitchen which wasn’t ideal for our family, we didn’t find it that easy to use and it obviously wasn’t “homely” or a place for children. *beware of small children touching the back of the oven* The fridge didn’t manage to keep even butter cold. However, the kitchen and beds aside, we had an absolutely brilliant weeks stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the pool made for great entertainment all day long. We spent most of our time outside in all of the numerous seating areas and the hammock. Giancarlo, the host, honestly could not have been more helpful. He was polite, attentive and full of suggestions on places to visit and things to do. He was very quick to respond to any messages before the holiday and during our stay, he earns 5 stars himself. He very kindly gave us vegetables and eggs from his farm which were delicious. We enjoyed the visiting wildlife, especially the bats, and the children fell in love with the cats.
Giancarlo, thank you for allowing us to share your villa, we had an exceptional holiday and made memories that will last a lifetime.
