Beautiful cottage in Royal Deeside
average rating of 4.875 based on 8 reviews

Ideal Cottage to get away from it all as well as being a great base to explore the area.

  • 5 of 5

We were fortunate to have stayed four nights during a heat wave but can imagine that this lovely cottage would be an ideal place to stay in any weather and at any time of year.

The Bothy is tastefully furnished, clean and well equipped,. We were very comfortable and wanted for nothing during our, all too short, stay here.

The location was fantastic, surrounded by fields and far reaching views. Very quiet with a variety of birdsong to keep you company during any outdoor excursion.

Natasha and David were perfect hosts, there if needed, and we really felt that they cared about us having the best stay possible.

We visited Dunnottar Castle, parking in Stonehaven Harbour and taking the coastal walk there. Highly recommended.

Crathes Castle is another must see, with an interesting history and Beautiful gardens.

Beach dwellers will love the one at St. Cyrus,

Suited our needs as a stopover base for visiting family .

Lovely property in idyllic setting, although approach road tested the car springs, and early morning calls at 04.30 onwards by local crows tapping on windows ,(probably fed in past by previous guests?), but to be expected living in outback. Jewel in crown, was the stunning scenery from bedroom windows, and the peace and quiet. would certainly reccommend to fellow holidaymakers.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Great for relaxing and enjoying the countryside.

  • 5 of 5

After losing ourselves in the countryside, we rolled into a gravel driveway at the end of a small dirt farm road at nearly 9:00 PM on a rainy May evening. We were afraid we were in the wrong place or arriving too late to fond the Bothy, but to our relief our hostess greeted us almost as soon as we had stepped out of the car. She politely showed us into a two story flat adjoining her residence. The flat appeared recently renovated and was very tastefully decorated. The bottom floor has a bathroom, a small kitchen with appliances and cookware, washing machine, and a comfortable sitting area. The upper floor has a comfortable bed for sleeping two and great view of the country-side. The Bothy was our home base for three nights of touring Scotland. If we ever make it to Scotland again, we wouldn't hesitate to make another visit.

Lovely little Country Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days is this lovely little cottage with terrific views over the rolling hills of Aberdeen shire and the town of Peterculter. Comfortable with an extremely well equipped kitchen which I greatly enjoyed.

Very private and quiet. Natasha is a great hostess, and was able to answer our questions about our cottage, as well as local sites and activities.
