Large Living/Dining area with brand new Kitchen, Bedroom, Shower/W.C. and Garden

Our apartment is on the ground floor and has its own garden terrace with direct access to the sandy beach through the private communal gardens.

The apartment comprises a lounge/dining area with patio doors to the garden and a spacious and well equipped kitchen area . The garden is very sheltered and great for sunbathing. It has a patio dining table with parasol for outside dining. An electric barbecue, garden and beach chairs, sunloungers etc. are all supplied.

The bedroom has a double bed, plenty of cupboarding and a window overlooking the garden.

Leading off the lounge is an additional area with two full-sized bunk beds, and in addition the lounge has a "click-clack" sofa which converts into an additional small-size double. Shower room with W.C.

There is French TV, a DVD player and a Radio/CD system. Parking is in a secured private area behind the apartment.

Close by there are plenty of shops, including a boulangerie, supermarket, restaurants etc, and a laundrette, and the main waterfront restaurants and bars are a short stroll away.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was exactly as described on the web site and had everything we needed. We especially liked having our own private sunny garden for sunbathing. We found plenty going on in the old town to enjoy and also had a great day out exploring Narbonne.

Altogether a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thankyou.

Great apartment close to the beach ,port area and pleasant walk to the old town .Nice to have a garden space , very sheltered in the cooler evenings at this time of year. We found the apartment suited our needs in every way and we had a pleasant stay.Lovely walks along the promenade , port area with restaurants and shops .Market days in the old own not to be missed. Also Narbonne is just a short bus ride away . Just before leaving we were informed a new kitchen was going to be fitted which must be a bonus for future guests. Hope to return next year .

EARLY SUMMER BREAK .

A very nice apartment close to the beach ,Gruissan port and a pleasant walk to the old town . We had a most enjoyable stay and we found the garden a lovely place to sit even when the temperature dropped as it is a nice sheltered spot. The apartment was comfortable and suited our needs in every way and just before leaving we were informed a new kitchen was going to be fitted which should be a bonus for future guests . Excellent place for walks along the promenade and the port area with its restaurants and shops .Market days in the old town not to be missed .Also it's only a short bus ride into Narbonne .

Great Appartment, Great Position

Great little studio and fabulous position. We were fortunate enough to have a sunny week and the garden was very warm and sheltered. Fabulous access to the harbour, restaurants and the old town. Very safe for children. Great instructions from the owners to find the appartment. Property was very clean and tidy and the pictures were very accurate.

Perfect place for vacation with family

I would say perfect appartments for such price. We've been really enjoying for two weeks. Many thanks to Gill for his assistance. First, it was very easy to find the residence because I was provided by hand written map :). The appartments is situated very convenient: near plage. Just a few meters. My grandson was pretty happy!

It happened that old town Gruissan is very nice too.

If we ever decide visit Gruissan once more, we definitely will book this appartments again.

Value for money!!

We had a great holiday in Gruissan late in October, and must say we were very impressed with the apartment, it had spacious accommodation for us and all the equipment we needed, even in October we could still sit and enjoy the Garden area. The apartment is nicely tucked away from the Bars and shops but close to them at the same time. Thanks for a great holiday break!!

cheap and cheerful

I would agree with the previous comments. We also found the appartment difficult to locate - the directions need to be clarified, and we could not get hold of the owners on the phone number we were given.

After 20mins of panic we sorted ourselves out. The apartment is BASIC, but this was reflected in the fair rental pice. It was acceptably clean.

What makes this worth renting is the location. It is right on the beach, the weekly market is just outside the gate, and the resaurants, bread shop and takeaway outlets are all right there. The retsurants were not amazing, but there is enough variety to appeal to fussy children if you have them. Favourite meal was bought from a variety of stalls on the market. The nightlife is mainly disco/ some live music/ kareoke - we enjoyed it, and as it's all along the seafront you can dip in and out as you please.

We really enjoyed our stay in Gruissan. It's not the quietest spot, but not too noisy either. It's clearly popular with the French, and has everything you need, especially if you have children/teenagers.

Owner's Response: Obviously we are disappointed to hear that someone could not readily findy our apartment and were unable to contact us. We have taken steps to improve this situation. There are a lot of apartments along the sea front and consequently is is more difficult to locate them because they have no road frontage. We have revised our directions and also now have an agent based in Gruissan who will be able to respond locally to any queries. We are surprised also that the clients were unable to contact us because we use a Blackberry geared to international calls which is on all the time. Occassionally we are in an area where the signal is not good. We generally ask clients for their views, in particular should there be any critical points raised, and in this respect the client who followed this client responded "we were very pleased about your apartment. Your description is very well, we found the way and the keys immediately". This seems to be in complete contrast to the comments made by this client. In terms of the accommodation our clients tell us that the apartment is confortable with ample space for four and with a good outside living area in the garden. The size of the apartment is relatively small, but quite a large area is taken up in having a good double bedroom, and unlike many studio apartments it has an additional private space allocated for bunk beds, rather than people having to sleep in the lounge area. We believe our description to be very accurate so there should be no surprises when people arrive.

Our studio apartment is on the ground floor of a small apartment block on the seafront in Gruissan.

There are shops, restaurants, sandy beaches, marinas & all holiday facilities just a short walk away. In the season the town has a complete programme of entertainment for visitors, from theme days in the old town to open air theatre, markets and children's entertainment around the port area. The old town is a few minutes walk away and is full of old world charm and character. The restaurants are particularly good here and the weekly markets a must to visit. Behind the town there is a large national park area with fantastic walking, mountain biking and horse riding etc.

There are masses of places to explore close by as well, many within biking area, and bike hire available very close by. There is a large leisure centre with swimming pools and spa facilities [including sauna & steam rooms etc. and even wine, salt, and music pools to bathe in!], numerous water sports centres, a national park area behind the town with fantastic walking, horse-riding and mountain biking.

Gruissan is ideally situated for exploring the wine country, the Corbieres and Fitiou, and the cultural cities of Narbonne & Carcassone. The mountains of the Pyrenees are about an hour away and at certain times of the year it is possible to lie on the beach soaking up the sun whilst looking at the snowy clad mountain tops in the background!

The Roman city of Narbonne is 7 miles away, and is well worth a visit for its magnificent cathedral, museums and Roman remains. Also the large indoor market and the canal. There is also a daily bus service from Gruissan to Narbonne.

Long lazy days on the beach, private sunbathing on the apartment's sheltered terrace, sailing, windsurfing, fishing or exploring, there is so much to do and enjoy it's hard to choose!
