About Rich & Patsy Zeidman
Rich and Patsy are your hosts. We've lived in Portland 28 years and love everything that this wonderful neighborhood and city have to offer. We take in all we can find time for including hiking, bicycling, nearby fitness club, great cafes and restaurants, wine bars, and movies at the neighborhood theater or downtown. Rich is the owner of www.nwmobilekitchens.com and we're happy to suggest some of the areas best Food Carts, if you're interested. Patsy recently retired from her position at Portland State University in the Graduate School of Education. We consider our Sellwood neighborhood to be our forever home.

Would love to live here!
Beautifully appointed, immaculate home with every amenity required. Owners live nearby, friendly and helpful. Lovely walkable neighbourhood with shops and restaurants 2 blocks away. We brought bikes and explored the city on the many paved bike paths nearby. Great home, great location!

Best Place To Stay in Portland Area
We loved Patsy & Rich’s guest house in the Sellwood area. The house was beautiful
and had everything you need to enjoy your trip. It is located in a delightful walkable neighborhood with terrific shops. Stop at Grand Central Bakery for delicious treats and lunch. The house is located three miles from the City Center and it is an easy drive. Used the street car to easily get around. The patio offered a beautiful outside area to enjoy the beautiful Portland weather. Thank you Patsy & Rich!
A wonderful bungalow
This house was simply awesome. Great, super helpful hosts, perfect lodging for our son and the two of us, even a little backyard to enjoy. The walk to Sellwood makes this an ideal place to stay in Portland. When we come back to Portland in years to come we hope Rich and Patsy will still be offering up this home stay.
A fabulous experience!
Our family of four rented this adorable house for three nights, and we could not have been happier. It’s a wonderful neighborhood with cute shops and restaurants right nearby. The renters were so helpful and thoughtful, and the house was very well appointed. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Portland. Thank you for a great Portland getaway!
Sellwood is one of Portland’s oldest and most walkable neighborhoods, popular for its close proximity to downtown. It overlooks the Willamette River and has some of the most beautiful parks in Portland.
You can walk to 3 different parks and the Willamette River all within just 10 minutes. Sellwood Park is just 3 blocks, New Seasons organic grocery store is also nearby along with numerous coffee shops, wine bars, pubs, bakeries, food carts, yoga, palates, antiques stores and restaurants in the surrounding area. There is a bike path just a few blocks away- the Springwater Corridor trail - that goes straight to downtown in just 3 miles ride - or it will take you 15 minutes to drive to downtown. Our neighborhood has the soft, green comfort & safety of a charming small town, but with the style, excitement and access of city life.
