Newly refurbished traditional welsh farmhouse with exposed beams and original panelling. Enjoy snuggling beside a wood burning stove or sit outside on the sheltered & sunny terrace. Take a short walk along a pretty path beside a stream through a wooded valley to a sheltered cove only 5 minutes away. On the way, if your feeling adventurous, you can relive your childhood on a tree swing suitable for all ages! This valley also has the highest conservation status. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire National Park or if you’re energetic bring the wet suits and go for a swim in a stunning natural diving pool in the rocks of this sheltered pebbly cove. If you prefer walking, take a leisurely walk to the beautiful city of St Davids or the pretty village of Solva along the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
Downstairs the open-plan living area includes a kitchen with dining table and a spacious sitting room with enough sofas and comfortable chairs to watch TV, sit by the fire or play family games. The room is tastefully decorated with paintings by local artists. The kitchen has a large retro American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and Rangemaster electric cooker. In the porch there is an ‘out of the way’ drying space on a traditional "lazy maid" above the central heating boiler.
Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and plenty of storage space with views over the tree tops and the valley. The third bedroom has bespoke adult sized bunk beds made by a local craftsman. The bathroom has bath/shower with good pressure and unlimited hot water.
The large south facing sheltered terrace has table and chairs for eating al-fresco and enjoying the Pembrokeshire sunshine.
The guests staying the The Tree House (see other listing - if you wish to rent both properties) have a right of way through the garden to the coast path and shared parking area.
The cottage is 5 minutes drive to St Davids, Britain's smallest city, which has numerous restaurants, cafe's, activity centres including some of the best surfing in the UK and heritage sites. The village of Solva, also 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk, is considered one the prettiest harbour villages in the UK with pubs and shops for visitors as well as boating facilities. You can walk to both along the spectacular coast patch and get a regular bus back to the Pink House.
There is a bus stop on the main road at the end of the drive where you can catch the main Haverfordwest to St Davids bus as well as the Puffin Shuttle which runs in the tourist season and stops at points along the coastal path.
The owner lives in a private annex adjoining the Pink Cottage
Logs and kindling can be purchased from the owner but the first nights supply is provided for free.
