This self-catering terraced holiday cottage rests in the heart of the historic estuary village of Lympstone. The property is a few minutes' walk from the pretty harbour and the Exe Estuary cycle path. The village has four friendly pub-restaurants, cafe and well equipped village shop (with post office). The Exe Estuary cycle path (Exmouth-Exeter-Dawlish) runs through the village and there are 18 footpaths offering beautiful coastal and country walks. The village train station has a frequent and regular service to Exmouth and Exeter. There is a bus service close by. A car is not essential. Exmouth with its 2 miles of sandy beach and Jurassic Coast path is a few minutes away by car and a pleasant 30-minute stroll along the coast path.
This beautifully decorated terraced house has recently been lovingly renovated to a very high standard.
Ground Floor: The entrance hall leads to the light and airy sitting room with comfy sofas, TV and DVD recorder. The fireplace and window seat along with a good selections of books and games and decorative detail create charming character, giving the room a perfectly executed blend of modern and vintage.
The dining room has a gas-fired 'wood burner' stove. The kitchen is large and is well-equipped.
There is a downstairs WC and a utility cupboard which houses the boiler and washing machine.
First Floor: On the first floor the family bathroom has a bath with shower over; separate WC; spacious master bedroom which retains the blend of modern and characterful charm with large windows filling the room with light; single bedroom with Victorian fireplace; rear bedroom has a single bed with pullout single under, meaning it can be used as a twin room if required.
Second Floor: further double bedroom with a double bed, sofa and small flat screen TV .(NB there are sloping ceilings so some restricted head room in this area).
Outside: At the back of the house is patio garden - perfect for BBQs in the sunshine.
NB; it is possible to use the fireplace in the sitting room but should you wish to do so please inform us of your intention to use this in advance of your stay. There is a £15 charge per week for its use, this does not include fuel (coal, logs etc).
Parking is available on the street outside the property on a first come first served basis. There is also a car park only a few minutes walk away if parking cannot be found on the street. Please ask for details of parking permits for the local area.
It is also easy to get around without a car from this location as there is a train station and bus routes within easy walking distance as well as the Exe Estuary cycle path.
