PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This is a top floor flat in a very attractive estate in the town of Penicuik, close to Edinburgh. It has just been voted the cleanest town in Scotland and the second cleanest town in the UK.There are regular b uses into the city every 10 minutes and the journey usually takes about 40 minutes.

There are also night buses 7 days a week.

The Scottish borders are also easily accessible and there is a regular bus service to this area too.

ACCOMODATION

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and an en suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds ( travelling cot is also available)

Bathroom 2 has bath, wash basin and toilet.

Dining room has a table which seats six plus high chair

Sitting Room is a large room with bay window. It has comfortable seating for 8 ,TV, DVD and CD and Internet connection.There is also a wide selection of books ,board games and toys.

Kitchen has a breakfast bar and is very well equipped with oven,hob,fridge,freezer,washing machine and microwave.

CLEANING/TOWELS/LINEN/MAID SERVICE

All towels and linen provided and the property is cleaned at the start of your stay.

AMENITIES/FACILITIES

Parking in a designated bay at back and ample parking at front. There is also a children's play park on the estate.

ACCESSABILITY

2 flights of stairs. There is no lift.

ABOUT THE AREA

Golf .There are several golf courses locally which are open to visitors.

Skiing. Hillend dry ski slope,which is the largest in Europe, is a 10 minute journey away.

Rosslyn Chapel is also close by.

Walking and Cycling. The close proximity of the Pentland Hills offers excellent hill walking. There are also several off road cycle paths and walkways which are directly accessible from the apartment.

There are a wide range of pubs,restaurants,cafes,local shops and supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment.

There is also a new Leisure Centre with swimming pool, and a large public park with play park and skate park.

A “Soft Play Centre” is situated 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

The owner could not have been more helpful. Lovely property, great location. Good for walking & bus links into Edinburgh. If you have a car easy to go to park & ride & tram into Edinburgh centre.

A Little Gem

If you don’t mind being out of town for a visit to Edinburgh,then this accommodation could be for you. The accommodation is spacious,clean,has plenty of linen,towels toiletries and basic supplies in the kitchen. spices,seasonings,tea,coffee and sugar and cooking oil.The kitchen is well equipped. If you are an avid reader,you would be in heaven!There are books of all kinds in various bookcases. The lounge is big and airy ,but the sofas were a bit too soft,which my husband found difficult to sit on ,as he has a bad back. There is a bus right around the corner ,which takes you into Edinburgh city centre in about 50 minutes.If you aren’t in a hurry,it’s very convenient,and cheaper than driving and parking. The flat is off the main road in a quiet cul-de -sac.Great for those that like to be quiet and away from the chaos and noise of the city.There are local walks,but we ran out of time to explore.

Friendly and accommodating host and lovely location

Jean came to meet us at the property and show us around which was really nice, so that we could get our bearings. Nice to have the personal touch instead of a key box. The place was perfect for what we needed and very close to a lovely little walk down beside the river

Beautiful Place

The house is absolutely lovely and well kept. The host is a wonderful lady who helps you whenever you need her. She has arranged everything that one might need for a perfect stay. She really adds a nice homely touch to the place as well.

I bought this property new in 1996 and it has been my home for the past 18 years. My circumstances have changed and I now live in Edinburgh.. I hope that visitors to my apartment will enjoy staying there as much as I did.

Close to Edinburgh with great transport links. Also lots of nice walks nearby and a quiet family friendly neighbourhood
It has just been voted the cleanest town in Scotland and the second cleanest town in the U.K.

What makes this property unique

Close to woodland walks. Frequent buses to Edinburgh. Nice restaurants in Penicuik and friendly local pubs. For family visiting there is also a great soft play less than 5 mins away
