A home away from home, but near the seaside and the country!
Another lovely stay at Finchfield, though a weekend was just too short and the arrival of storm Freya on Sunday was a bit wild and windy.! Good to have somewhere cosy to come back to and the kids love the little playroom with the DVD and sofa. Everything as clean and immaculate as ever and thanks for the goodies, wine and chocolate, Lisa
Thumbs up for Finchfield.
The property was well presented. It had everything we needed and it was very tidy. The place was kids friendly, Lisa was welcoming and she made herself available should we have any problems. I will happily recommend Finchfield to friends and family.
A home away from home, but near the seaside and the country!
Our third visit to Finchfield with the family and again a very comfortable stay. The house is very well equipped and the garden lovely, though too chilly to be outside this October week! Family friendly, with a bath for the baby, stairgates and a cosy snug with screen and DVDs for the children. The lounge is spacious, well furnished and flooded with light from the new patio doors. Kitchen newly fitted and with eveything you could possibly need, including loads of glasses and plastic plates for the kids.
Bathroom is bright and clean, with a shower which we all like, but no bath if you fancied a soak. Bedrooms all light and with most comfortable beds, stylish throws and cushions and from the back windows great views of sunrise over the countryside..
New Hedges very well situated for visiting Tenby,, Saundersfoot and the kids favourite Folly Farm, but then also very peaceful to come home to at the end of the day. We feel really at home there and would happily recommend it for a family holiday!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
Finchfield is a lovely homely place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, and would love to return one day. Thank you Lisa.
Lovely home from home in Wales
We were very impressed with Finchfields! The house was homely, roomy and light and we couldn't fault all the little extra things that had been thought of , such as the welcome Welsh cakes , the comfy garden chairs, the books and toys, the stairgates and high chair and the well equipped and modern kitchen, Sadly we were let down by the weather so spent more time indoors than anticipated but it wasn't really a problem when it was such a nice place to be in! When the weather did get better we walked the 30 minutes into Tenby down a country track which was lovely.. but did get a cab back as didn't fancy the return with a tired toddler! Would also highly recommend Folly farm if you have little ones. Just be aware if out of season as the one pub in the village closed for winter the weekend we were there and the famous fish and chip van didn't open at all.. we guessed we were just that bit late in the year. It didn't bother us as had to be home and indoors early with our little one but might have liked a later drink at a local to be an option if we'd come on our own. Overall very recommended.
An excellent, well-appointed holiday house.
The house is attractive, on a quiet road with a nearby shop and we walked down to the sea in Tenby down a traffic-free path, or drove to the other local beaches, all of which are beautiful, clean and accessible.
Finchfields is attractively decorated, extremely well fitted out and comfortable. It has a sunny enclosed back garden and is perfect for a family with small children. We really enjoyed our stay.
