About Kathy wicks
We are a family of five, myself my husband and three boys. Over the past two years we have been restoring our home & holiday let trying to mix contemporary and traditional styles.
Kathy wicks purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Kathy wicks chose Colan
We love the pictureque countryside, beaches and being close to the amenities's. Coswarth cottage definitely ticked all of those boxes for us which is why we have stayed here for so long. When you are here you feel as if you are a millions miles away from anywhere, but your not. Its a perfect spot for making you feel as if you are.
What makes this Cottage unique
As a family we have enjoyed many a walk around Coswarth Walking down the quiet road to the ford and beyond, enjoying the countryside views. The children especially have enjoyed seeing the wild life around Coswarth up close, such as Roe deer, otters, ducks, barn owl & woodpecker. As Coswarth cottage has no light pollution its amazing for star gazing. We have spend many an evening sitting on the front porch with hot chocolates gazing at the stars. As busy parents we find Coswarth prefect for relaxing and taking that time out to appreciate the uninterrupted views from the house.

A lovely property with lovely owners. The house is exactly as presented in the photos, modern, spacious, well equipped, beautiful designed and spotlessly clean. Located in a beautiful and convenient location close to an array of lovely and dog friendly beaches, local attractions and fabulous restaraunt.
Kathy is an excellent host, friendly, welcoming and quick to respond to any questions.
All in all a wonderful holiday - I will definitely be rebooking!
This cottage is beautiful, we enjoyed our stay from start to finish had everything we needed. Great cooking equipment and super clean. We was made to feel so welcome and anything we needed we knew we could just ask. Amazing location as it’s a short drive to a lot of different places and amazing beaches. I would 100% recommend this cottage, great for children too my little girl loved it. Thank you again. Xx
Quality cottage in idyllic surrounding
Lovely cottage, good lay out of rooms and use of space, tastefully furnished with stylish decor, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable. Uninterrupted views across the fields. Very friendly welcome.
Beautiful cottage, in a great quiet location
Just returned from a long weekend, it was the perfect stay just what we were looking for, it was very spacious and accommodated our family of 5 and 2 dogs.
Kathy the owner was there to greet us on arrival and gave us a very warm welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean, roomy, modern and spacious but still managed to maintain the cottage feel.
The location was brilliant, far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of Newquay but close enough to travel too, as our stay was to visit family living there.
I would reccomend this property to anyone.
Thanks Kathy for making this a very relaxing, comfortable stay, we will definitely return!
Stunning cottage in fantastic location
This was our second visit to Coswarth Cottage and it was everything we remembered. The cottage is beautifully furnished, it is warm, comfortable, and stylish, with plenty of room for a family of four and some (our son who is three decided he didn’t want to leave). When you’re not out exploring and enjoying the incredible delights Cornwall has to offer, you can just relax and unwind at the cottage. Set in a rural location, with a lovely ford to explore down the road and yet only a short drive from some of the best beaches in the country. Kathy is a fantastic hostess and is there to greet you on arrival, she’s so warm and welcoming that it’s like meeting a friend. She’s there if you need anything but obviously leaves you to enjoy your break away. There’s even a well received welcome basket on arrival, and milk and juice in the fridge- just what you need after a long journey down. I cannot recommend this cottage enough, and we’ll be counting down the days until we can visit again.
