Lovely apartment , in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is lovely, newly renovated, has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The beds are really comfortable. Everything works perfect. The outdoor terrace is lovely , nice vines flowers. It back onto a small park and is very quiet. The host Petar is very kind. He was at the apartment to greet us when we arrived. And was available if we had any problem which we did not , as everything was perfect. He had bottled water, biscuits, herbs , spices etc for us. He has maps , brochures and information on split Croatia in the apartment. Excellent host. I would highly recommend this apartment. In a very nice location, 5 mins. From the beach, bars restaurants. 20 mins. Walk to the old town. Would definitely rent this apartment again. Thank you Petar!

Very nice stay, lovely apartment, reasonable price

  • 5 of 5

We travelled as a family and stayed for a week in Split, and were very pleased with the apartment.

When we arrived, the owner was very friendly and answered all the questions we had about Split. The apartment is in a friendly neighbourhood, close to the supermarket, beaches, and 15 minute walking distance from the historic centre.

The photos are trustworthy, what you see is what you'll get!

The kitchen is very well equipped, it even has salt, some rice and other food basics so that you don't have to buy e.g. an entire package of pepper just to use a little bit of it. It was great for us because we did sandwiches every day to take out and we cooked some good dinners there as well.

The bedrooms are nice, and have a lot of storage space, so don't worry if you bring too many clothes. And everything in general is modernly furnished.

The bathroom is tiny, but you can see it for yourslef in the picture.

The outdoor space is the cherry on top of the cake. Great for breakfast and meals, pity we didn't use the barbeqeue. Maybe next time.

I recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Split. Thank you Petar

P.s.: If you come to Split, don't forget to visit the Meštrović Gallery (for the art lovers), Salona and then the Archaeological Museum (for History enthusiasts) and Hvar island (for all tourists)

Great apartment with lovely garden

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. Good size bedrooms and very efficient air con. We particularly loved the garden. You could sit in the sun reading/relaxing and when it got too hot there was always a cool terrace area covered in vines to retreat to.

The apartment is, as described, really well positioned near bars, good restaurants and of course the beach and Split itself. We really liked restaurant Nevera nearby.

There's a lovely walk from the apartment which is in a nice, quiet area to join a coastal route to old Split and there's lots going on there in the evenings.

The owner Petar is really helpful and speaks good english.

We liked it so much we are going back next year and woild wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Comfortable, quiet and secluded apartment in Split

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for a week at this roomy apartment and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Our host Petar was very prompt with return emails as we arranged our visit, and he picked us up from the train station in Split. The apartment was accurately depicted in the photographs you are now viewing. It was very clean, and on a very quiet residential street.

There were two bedrooms. Since there was only two of us, we used the second bedroom as a staging area for daily trips and a place to stow our luggage so we really felt comfortable in the other bedroom. There is a great deal of storage space - cupboards, drawers, closets.

The weather was cold when we arrived, but the apartment had a very efficient heating and AC system.

A sliding glass door leads to a cozy and secluded back porch sitting area that is shaded with vines and bushes. A friendly black and white cat was an occasional visitor, and I sat with him as I enjoyed the back yard.

The apartment contained a very efficient washing machine, a drying rack and an outdoor clothesline. At first glance the neighborhood streets look impossibly narrow - Americans and some Europeans may not be used to how small residential streets can be, but we had no problem parking a car we rented for two days.

There are two supermarkets within 5-10 minute walking distance. - Billa and TommyMarket - do check the opening and closing schedules as markets in Croatia are not 24/7 businesses. Many stores are in fact closed on Sundays. Grocery stores have limited hours on Sunday in Croatia.

Riva in the center of town is about a 20 minute walk, but a most pleasant walk that you can elect to take next to the water or on heavily shaded streets.

The only problem, which was quickly remedied by Petar, was access to the Internet. Since we were his first guests of the season, and that Internet access can take time to arrange in Croatia, Web access was not immediately available when we arrived at the apartment. For us, this was a working vacation and we needed to be in touch with our offices. Before we even unpacked our bags, Petar loaded us in his car and we drove off to T-Mobile, where he obtained for us internet-USB devices and Internet access without charge.

Petar wants you to have a good time at his apartment. He is friendly, approachable, and speaks excellent English.

I would highly recommend his apartment for your visit to Split.

Car: not necessary

The apartment is located only 15 minutes nice walk from the Split old town and its major attractions, one of which is certainly the 1.700 years old Diocletian's Palace, a unique world heritage site dating back to the Roman age and protected by Unesco. Diocletian's Palace is today the only roman palace in the World still preserved and inhabited therefore the must see during your visit in Split and Croatia. The port of Split, the bus and the train station are also very close to the apartment, approximately 500 meters or less than 10 minutes by foot.

This is a beautiful cosy apartment in a elite part of Split. Its position makes it ideal for summer vacation because of its proximity to the beach, marina, old town, restaurants and bars. It is exactly 3 minutes walk from the beach, 3 minutes walk from marina, 7 minutes walk from famous night life center Bacvice and also very close to many other cultural and historical attractions. The apartment is 2 minutes walk from the 'Tennis Resort Firule' where 5 top ten players emerged including Goran Ivanisevic.

The town of Split is one of the most beautiful cities in the the whole Mediterranean with a great number of attractions and places to visit nearby. The old town of Split with the 1.700 years old Diocletian's Palace is the UNESCO protected world heritage site since 1979 and one of best preserved sites from the Roman age. Among the must see attractions in Split are: the walls and the gates of the Diocletian's palace, the Perystile square, the cathedral of San Domnius, the Piazza square and the Riva promenade. The green oasis Marjan hill is the best place to enjoy the nature, sightseeing of Split and the surrounding areas including the archipelago and the mountains.

Only 4 km from Split there is a great place for all history lowers: the Salona ruins, antique capital of Dalmatia with the rests of the amphitheatre, roman terms and other interesting architectural attractions including the antique roman aqueduct.

Other places to visit near Split include:

- The town of Trogir (approx. 30 km from Split) connected with a bridge to the island of Ciovo,

- The town of Omis with an extraordinary canyon of Cetina river, the best place for an active holiday (rafting, canyoning and free climbing), 20 km far away

- The islands of Solta, Brac, Hvar and Vis, connected via ferries from Split's harbour

- The Krka waterfalls national park (approx. 1 hour by car from Split)
