About Liz and James Hitchcock
Hebe Cottage is owned by Liz and James. We fell in love with Wells and North Norfolk about 6 years ago and followed our dream of owning a cottage there. We bought Hebe Cottage in November 2014 and have enjoyed furnishing it as well as staying there as we prepare to welcome guests. We have two young children, hence our experience of Norfolk is from a family perspective, however we are looking forward to learning more as the family grow up. We hope you enjoy Hebe Cottage as much as we do!

Why Liz and James Hitchcock chose Wells-next-the-Sea
We chose Hebe Cottage because of its proximity to the stunning beach at Wells. As a family we have spent a lot of time cycling to enjoy the countryside and visit some of the local attractions. There are a huge number of events taking place throughout the year so it is also worth while checking out what's on before booking. We are constantly surprised by the quality and number of places to visit; it really is a very special place.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the fact that we can walk to shops, high quality restaurants and even the beach. The cottage is light and airy with a beautiful outside space meaning that we can enjoy evenings bbq-ing in the sun. It's rare in Wells to find such a secluded space at the heart of the town.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
The most beautiful cottage in the heart of Wells
Fell in love with Hebe Cottage the moment we arrived! What a location! Would recommend to anyone wanting a coastal retreat for a few days. Cute and cosy with everything you need, furnished to a lovely standard, spotlessly clean....will def return!
Perfect holiday home
The cottage is efficiently [ and tastefully] presented. We had everything we needed and so convenient for the shops. It made our Norfolk holiday one of the best in over 25 years.
Great cottage in the centre of Wells

Hebe cottage is warm and comfortable with all you may need
I stayed in October and the weather was great. The cottage was in a very convenient location for walking out for shopping and eating out.
I found all I needed and there are clear instructions for using the T.V.etc.
I found it easy to park by the church down the street then outside the cottage for loading and unloading.
Great cottage good location for travelling around North Norfolk.Cottage modern clean and well equipped.
Lovely cottage in a fantastic location
When we arrived the cottage it was exactly as it was described it was very clean the beds were very comfortable with lovely linen & towels even tea towels in the kitchen. All the fittings and little touches in the cottage were home from home superb. We had our lunch most days in the beautiful garden which was very private it was a joy to feed the blackbirds!!!
The location right in the town is brilliant the little shop just around the corner sold everything but we loved the Delicatessen & the wet fish shop just along the road together with numerous individual shops & coffee places. We never moved the car from the Buttlands all week & just got buses to many many places thanks to the information in the cottage. We thoughly enjoyed our stay it is was very relaxing.
Thank you Liz & James
