4 bedroom Georgian Townhouse Short walk to the Beach, Train station, old Town, cafe, shops and restaurants
About L Blomfield
We are a couple with two small children from Nottinghamshire. I'm originally from New Zealand while my partner is a born and breed Nottingham man. We’ve been looking for a home away from home for some time. Somewhere that wasn’t to far to travel where we could decide last minute to pack the car and go. A beautiful coastline that is safe for our children to spend both summer and winter days (I love the beach in any weather) and Whitby also appealed as my partner enjoys fell running and cycling so having the Moors and surrounding track/walks at our doorstep is a bonus. Whitby’s history also appeals to me with it’s connection to New Zealand (captain Cook) We still have lots to learn about the area but we look forward to exploring it more as our children grow.
L Blomfield purchased this House in 2015
Why L Blomfield chose Whitby
We holidayed in Whitby during the summer and we fell in love with the area so started looking for a home away from home. Staying in a small property over the summer enabled us to focus on what we needed as a family to holiday comfortably. We walked by the house but it wasn’t until after we viewed a number of properties that we decided to looked at it seriously. Its such a lovely house and it has everything we were looking for including being a great location. Plus if you have even been to Whitby you will appreciate the benefits of off street private parking.
What makes this House unique
Benefits for us of the property is having secure private car parking and having room to move and grow with two small people. It's not to big but a comfortable easy home to manage. It centrally located a stones throw away from the cafes, bars and restaurants on Skinner street, the Old town, train station, supermarket, harbour and beaches. We are looking forward barbecues on the terrace, exploring the area and building family memories here. We hope you enjoy our house, beautiful surrounding Towns, Beaches and Moors as much as we are looking forward to.

Property exactly as listed, very convenient for the town and amenities, very clean and comfortable
Great property for a group booking within easy reach of the town and the parking is what is needed in Whitby.
The photos don't really do the house justice it has everything you need for your stay and all the instructions and directions were spot on
Thanks Lee really enjoyed the break in your house
Perfect central location
Lovely comfy house with lots of space and a good central location
High standard accommodation in a great location
Perfect for a large family gathering
We booked this house for a family gathering and it suited our needs perfectly for sleeping arrangements, socialising and parking. If you know Whitby, you will understand how difficult parking can be. A parking attendant was patrolling on the day we left, which is surprising in January.
We didn’t cook, other than breakfast, but there was everything available to produce every kind of meal. We had a Chinese takeaway, a curry at Wetherspoons and, on our last night, we ate at Mademioselles, which was excellent and only a five minute walk from the house.
We had football fans in our party and were made very welcome at the pub across the bridge, where the matches were being screened.
Two of us did the cliff walk to Robin Hood’s Bay, which was challenging and very enjoyable.
We absolutely loved this house.
Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and you found you had everything you needed.
The property is in a good location and within walking distance to most things however it’s great to be able to car the car and know it’s okay.
Thanks again for the review and don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re in the area again.
Lovely property in a great location
The house was the perfect size for our family holiday, with 5 adults and 2 children there was enough room for everyone.
The house was in a central location and close to all the attractions which was handy. Also close to a fantastic children’s park which our kids loved!
The house itself was clean, bright & airy and everything we could think of was included! There was enough parking for two cars which made life easy! Overall a fantastic stay! Thank you!
