The Space: The Cottage at Wantsley Farm is set in the glorious Dorset countryside, 20 minutes from the Jurassic coast and within walking distance of the beautiful village of Beaminster. You can walk straight from the door across the hills more or less through the set of Far From the Madding Crowd. The cottage is in the grounds of Wantsley Farm, a lovely family farmhouse which has 17 acres of rolling hills and woodland. It has its own patio seating area, and parking space for 2 cars. The cottage has a kingsize bed in the master bedroom, complete with roll-top bath, and 2 single beds in the other, with a pull out bed for a 5th person. There is a shower room with loo and a separate downstairs loo. Oak floors throughout, exposed beams, a wood-burner stove and French windows make the cottage light and airy in the summer months and delightfully cosy in the winter. There is a patio with table and chairs just outside the sitting room. Due to the close proximity of a thatched roof I'm afraid it's no BBQ's. Home baked fresh bread, eggs and jam are available from the Farmhouse on request. We can also arrange Photography Courses, Yoga, Silks and Hoop courses, Massage, and in-house Pedicure and Manicure.
Guest Access: Guests have access to the farms fields, the zip wire and streams, the woodland and can walk through the grounds to the local pub in nearby Stoke Abbott. Spare linen will be in the cottage, maid service will be weekly.
Interaction with Guests. Guests can feel welcome to drop in with requests or for local advice, but their privacy is respected in every way.
