About Peter Rischmueller
We are an Anglo-German professional couple, now retired, and have owned this second home for over 15 years. Even before buying the house, we spent many family holidays with friends in the village and have, over time, established many other friendships in the area. We have developed the house from a 3 roomed cottage to a comfortable family-sized home. We have always used local French artisans and very trustworthy local people to help us run and maintain the house. Everyone who has ever visited us has been pleasantly surprised with, not only the house, but its surroundings.
Peter Rischmueller purchased this House in 1998

Very enjoyable stay
This was the 3rd time we have stayed with our dogs. Very clean and well-presented property with all equipment needed for successful self catering. Unfortunately the local Hotel/Restaurant in Crecy (Les Sangliers) was closed during our stay but we did visit an excellent family restaurant in Vironchaux (Le Cornet D'Or) on two occasions . As usual, The Crecy Forest provided great walks for us and the dogs.
Excellent and comfortable property.
The only disadvantage of the holiday was the weather, which was rather cold (May) and the property cannot be held responsible for that! Beautiful garden and spacious accommodation
Relaxing and comfortable
The holiday was very good. The farmhouse was comfortable and charming with everything required for a relaxing time, it even had a piano we could all play. The Crecy Forest was a two minute walk from the property, virtually at the end of the garden, and was excellent for dog walking and cycling. The hamlet was very quiet and peaceful. The town of Crecy-en-Pothieu was a 20 minute cycle ride away, perfect for a morning trip to the boulangerie.
Very comfortable and welcoming traditional property
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very suitable for our stay. Very rural setting but quite possible to reach Crecy and other towns in the region.
Great house and surroundings
We had a really nice week in the Autum.
The weather was still nice.
We had a great time. The house is lovely and really well equipted. The children enjoyed themselves a lot in the special play room.
There are a lot of nice villages to visit, and the forrest behind the house, is lovely to walk. The dogs lovend it.
In the house we enjoyed the fire place and the godin wood burner as well.
We had a great time and highly recommend this house.
Excellent accommodation and facilities
Excellent accommodation and facilities. Yes I would recommend the property to friends with a similar requirement. Very relaxing agricultural and forest area. We particularly liked visiting the Museum and battlefield of Crecy.
The beach at Quend plage and Fort Mahon, the fishing harbour of Le Crotoy and the historic town of St Valéry on the beautiful Baie de Somme are all about 25 minutes’ drive. Berck Sur Mer is 40 minutes away by car.
Le Crotoy, on the north side of the bay, combines the charm of a fishing port and marina with the only south facing beach on the northern French coast.
