Winter brrak
This is a sweet little very old village cottage. The village was quiet even though the pub just round the corner had just reopened under community ownership. The village is a good place to explore Lake Bala, Lake Vernwy and the National Park. Our only 2 requests would be a soft topper on the main bed and for the house to be warmer on arrival. It had been a couple of days below 0 and the stone cottage took a fair bit of warming up. Otherwise it fully met our needs and we enjoyed our stay very much.

About the host

Hello, I'm Paul Bailey, husband of Sara and dad to Hannah and James. As a former outdoor education teacher I have always loved Wales with all it has to offer in the natural environment and the activities available. We frequently visit here for the canoe racing at Canolfan Tryweryn.

Why they chose this property

The opportunity which arose to acquire a lovely traditional stone cottage gave me a project to renovate it to a standard which I'm sure you'll enjoy. The easy access through stunning scenery, quaintness of the cottage ,ideal location and the extra bonus of an excellent pub/restaurant next door makes it a winner. We love the rural atmosphere, warm welcome and breathtaking mountain surroundings. See the reviews by our guests who verify why our cottage ,Ty Isa, is so attractive in itself and how the central location is great for accessing all that North and Mid-Wales has to offer.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the sense of history of the cottage itself and being right in the centre of Welsh culture in Llanuwchllyn. A cosy retreat that helps you unwind so peacefully.
