Our house was restored ecologically, respecting the original stone: sheep wool for insulation, natural lime for plaster and whitewash...

The house provides all the comfort for a successful stay: washing machine, dishwasher,flat sceen TV, Wi-Fi internet and beautiful private and heated swimming pool"7x4 meters" with wooden terrace bordered by stone walls.

Only 25 minutes from Bergerac, Périgueux and Monbazillac and 55 minutes from Sarlat and all the well known places to visit ( Lascaux, Castelnaud, Beynac, La Roque- Gageac

There is a beautiful Market place just 10 minutes drive from the house on fridays (Vergt) and a Leisure Park " le lac de Neufont" just beside for swimming and having fun with children!

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: towels and linen are included and changed if necessary, we would be right next door in case you are in need of anything! cleaning service at the end of the week included. Tranquil hideaway with delightful hosts

The photos don't do justice to this beautiful, roomy barn elegantly restored with vintage brocante elements which give it real personality. Tucked in a little hamlet surrounded by woods, it is wonderfully peaceful. The pool is super: fringed with scented lavender and honeysuckle, and equipped with a current which makes it better for proper swimming-for-exercise than you might expect for its size. Sylvie and her husband are lovely hosts. They are in the other end of the property so easily on hand for any problems or with an excellent suggestion for a local walk but very discreet so you feel private. Easy access to the charming old towns of Perigueux and Bergerac but tucked away from the more touristy bits of the Dordogne area. We would very happily return.

We were so happy when we arrived to see a beautiful property. So exciting to arrive for hols here!

We had an amazing fortnight with a lovely welcome from our hosts Sylvie and Regis. This included a welcome basket with yummy home made jams, a good Bergerac wine, foie gras terrine as well as a lift to pick up pizzas for our first nights dinner from the nearest town Vergt, which meant we knew where everything important was (supermarkets etc) from day one. And I haven't even mentioned the heated private pool yet; or the outside shower or the great time our girls had catching crickets, watching the stars at night while in the pool as well as the trips we had to Bergerac and st emilion to meet friends. Would highly recommend this to friends and family! Many thanks to our hosts for a great two weeks in the sun.

We are a family of 5, including 3 young adult children. We were looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing, that was within easy reach of places that were worth day trips. This property was perfect for us. We had a lovely 2 week stay which was a mix of day trips and days simply lazing by the pool. The house is filled with a charming and quirky character and was well equipped with all that was needed. Just be careful of your head, as there are some very low doorways. We would be very happy to return.
