About Anne-Marie O'Neill
We love Cornwall with its fabulous beaches and gorgeous scenery even though it's a long trek from our home in Cumbria to our 'home-from-home' in Cornwall, especially for our four-legged friends, Brynn and Skye, but they love every minute of being in Hayle. The beaches are their favourite (of course!) and also meeting up with their springer spaniel 'cousin', Humphrey. We love the area and of course, spending time with Sean and Anita who live about 20 minutes away in Camborne. Their first baby, Jack, arrived in June 2018 so we now have even more reasons to visit!
Anne-Marie O'Neill purchased this Bungalow in 2014
Why Anne-Marie O'Neill chose Saint Erth
We were re-introduced to the delights of Cornwall when our son, Sean, moved to Newquay about 15 years ago. Since then we have spent as much time as possible in the area and really love it - the beaches, the scenery and the weather! Our two beagles, Skye and Brynn love the beaches, especially the beautiful (but not the easiest to find if you don't know its there) Porth Kidney beach, as well as Perranporth beach which is just a little further afield. We decided to look for a small property in the area to use as a base when we visit Sean, which is how we came across Tolroy Manor. Some of the properties on the site are privately owned and guests can have a quiet, relaxed holiday or take advantage of the site facilities if they choose. The site facilities are open from 1st March - 31st October and use of them is included with your booking. Facilites include an indoor swimming pool, bar, restaurant / takeaway, shop, launderette, children's playground and more. Check out our Facebook page, just search for 67 Trevithick Court, Hayle.
What makes this Bungalow unique
One of the things that attracted us to Tolroy Manor is that the site allows up to 3 dogs per property - although not all property owners allow dogs in their properties. Having 3 'fur babies' ourselves at the time (we sadly lost our eldest beagle, Phin, last year, we knew from experience how difficult it is to find somewhere that accepts more than 2 dogs, and this was a real plus for us. We know that dog owners are genuine, responsible folk - and multiple dog owners even more so, and we are happy to offer the opportunity to enjoy a holiday with your 'best-friend(s)'. The location of the site is great too - close to the town (20 minutes walk) and the beach (1.5 miles) but in a rural position. You can catch the train to St Ives from Hayle or St Erth saving the difficult task of finding a parking space in St Ives! There are lots of attractions within an hour's drive of the site, and many more further afield so lots of things to see and do in the area.

Very helpful owners. Beautifully presented property. Lovely location. Great value for money.
My children and I loved our stay at Tolroy Manor. We visited in mid-November when the facilities were closed, but we still had a lovely time. The bungalow is situated in a secluded corner of the park in a woodland setting. We enjoyed watching the birds from the windows in the mornings. The property was very nicely presented with seaside pictures on the walls. The sofa was very comfortable as were the the soft, cosy beds. The single beds were particularly snuggly. We all slept very soundly during our stay. There is a good TV and DVD player with a good selection of dvds for both adults and kids, lots of books for most tastes and ages, and a good selection of games. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything one might need. The whole property was spotlessly clean. The shower was easy to use with plenty of hot water. The heaters kept the property nice and warm despite the cold weather. We didn't bring a car but found it easy to get around using public transport and the very reliable, cheap, friendly local taxi service. Anne-marie, the owner of the property was extremely helpful and kind. We needed to stay in the area a bit longer than expected and although the bungalow was already booked for the next few days, she went out of her way to help us find alternative accommodation. Her help was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. Even my daughter, who hates staying away from home, really loved it and wants to come back during the summer. Thank you, Anne-marie, for a lovely stay.
Thank you so much for your great review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at No.67, we love it there too - and especially out of season when the area is quieter but the weather still good and hardly anyone on the beaches! It is lovely to see the birds there now - they used to have a problem with seagulls but have taken steps to make sure they don't build nests there now and, since then, we have found that the birds and the owls are often about and have even seen a hedgehog just outside snuffling about it the bushes late in the evening.
It is really useful to know about the local taxi service as we always take the car to make I easier to visit our son, but there are people who come without the car so its great to know you could get around by public transport, even out of season. If you can let me know which taxi service you used, I can do a recommendation for them in the Welcome Folder.
I was happy to help you find alternative accommodation for the extra time and just sorry that we weren't able to accommodate the extra nights at No.67 due to another booking.
We are so glad you had a lovely time and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Lovely place, great location.
We stayed here for 3 nights in November with our two dogs. The park was very quiet being out of season but the property itself was perfect. It had everything you needed, and was spotlessly clean. There were plenty of heaters and warmed up the place quickly on cold evenings. The surrounding area is great for walking dogs, with so many great beaches close by. Overall a very relaxing time.
Thank you so much for your great review, we are glad you had a lovely, relaxing time. We really enjoy being there out of season when its quieter on the roads and in the towns and villages, so generally no problems parking. Most of the beaches with restrictions are now accessible too so that gives even more options on where to take the dogs for a run. We love coming back to No.67 after a day out at this time of year, putting the fire on, drawing the curtains and settling down for a cosy evening in. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review for us.
Very nice chalet clean and comfortable lots of hot water excellent shower ! nice site, good clubhouse and swimming pool & Shop if you have forgotten those essentials, location suits all types !
Thank you so much for your great review! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at No.67 - you have covered almost everything we would want to say about our lovely home-from-home in your review. The only thing we would add is to mention the fabulous scenery and things to do nearby, Thank you.
A cosy chalet with everything we needed for a weekend
We had a lovely weekend meeting up with family and the chalet was a great base. We enjoyed Tolroy Holiday Park and its facilities. Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for us, we really appreciate it. So glad you had a fab time with your family and found the location and the Park a good base for you. We hope to welcome you back to No.67 in the future.
Nice place to stay
Place tidy and welcome on arrival. Bungalow equipped well - all what you might need for a week of stay. Some previous visitors mentioned issues with dampness inside - yes, it's a bit noticeable but we got around leaving windows slight open when out. Can't say a lot about park facilities - one of us used swimming pool twice (late afternoon so almost no one was there) and he couldn't find nothing to complain. Place was used as base to explore Cornwall and location of park gives a lot of opportunity to do it. Mobile networks coverage are good - Vodafone, Lycamobile (O2) no issues found. Am on PlusNet (EE) and signal were good enough (but rarely 4G) to use phone (used next to lounge window) as hotspot for browsing web or made some videocalls (Skype, Messenger). Bit of advice - hot water is really, really hot, there are warning notices anyway.
We found property as money well spent and worth to consider again in future. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review for No. 67. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and exploring the local area. It is a beautiful area with lots to see and do within easy reach.
We really appreciate your sensible approach to ventilation at the property. There are night vents on all the windows but we very often find when we go that people have closed them. That and people trying to dry wetsuits in the property doesn't help.
We don't use the Park facilities much either but the families who stay tell us they appreciate having the option of them, especially the swimming pool.
The information about the various mobile networks is really helpful, thank you. I'm on O2 and get a good phone signal and use the phone as a modem for my laptop when we're there. Hubby is on Vodaphone and also gets a good signal for phone and internet.
Thank you again, we look forward to welcoming you back to No.67 in the future.
The accommodation is clean and tidy but it is damp.
The accommodation is clean and tidy but it is damp. The temperatures were at a high of 19c so were surprised the accommodation was damp.Towels used in the shower do not dry out during the day unless you put on a fire. It is in a nice location and has local entertainment on site. Even though the accommodation is dog-friendly, dogs are not allowed off the lead anywhere on the site. We thought there was Wi-Fi when we booked the accommodation, but it is only at the holiday park main reception. The owners left a friendly package for our dog which was a nice greeting. The beds are comfortable once they are dry. The couches seat 3 adults only. We were out every day and it is a good base for exploring that part of the country.
Thank you for leaving a review for No.67, we appreciate you taking the time to do so and are delighted that you enjoyed exploring the local area so easily accessible from Hayle.
We were surprised to hear that you thought there was WiFi at the property as it is made clear in the confirmation you received that it is at the Park Reception with only mobile internet available at the property. This is the excerpt from your confirmation: 'Free WiFi is available in the Reception and Bar area of the main building. We have found that Vodaphone & O2 have an excellent mobile internet signal in the property'.
It is also made clear in the confirmation that the Park requires that dogs are kept on a lead, excerpt reads: 'Park rules are that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on site.' These are, as stated, Park rules over which we have no control.
On our many visits to the property we have never had an issue with damp since the positive ventilation system was fitted in 2016 - even in the depths of winter and most guests have not mentioned a problem. We use the fire and the heaters in the bedrooms as required and would expect guests to do the same, especially as there is no additional charge for electric.
Hayle and 3 miles of sandy beach is 1.5 miles from the site. Dogs are not allowed on this beach from 1st April - 31st October, however there is a lovely dog-friendly, sandy beach at Porth Kidney, Lelant Downs about 4 miles away and also at Perranporth.
The nearest railway station is in Hayle approximately 1 mile from the site.
The nearest airport is Newquay which is approximately 15 miles away.
All mileages are approximate: Hayle - 1 mile, St. Ives - 5 miles, Penzance - 10 miles, Lands End - 20 miles, Truro - 22 miles, Falmouth - 24 miles, Newquay - 29 miles, Eden Project (St. Austell) - 37 miles, Padstow - 37 miles.
