Lazydays is a traditional 18th century two-bedroom cottage which sleeps four people. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome but be aware the cottage has no garden, however the riverside is a five minute walk and is a popular area for dog walking. Located in the centre of Moffat, close to both the market square and the peaceful riverside, the cottage is only a few minutes walk from an array of local shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities. Please note: because it is a traditional cottage the stairs are steep with a narrow step landing from bedrooms to bathroom. Care must be taken at all times when exiting these rooms. This may cause a problem for anyone with limited mobility, the very elderly or families with very young children. The cottage is a non-smoking property. Moffat is a historic Spa Town nestled in the hills of the Southern Upland Way and surrounded by some of the region's most spectacular scenery such as the Grey Mare's Tail, St. Mary's Loch and the Devil's Beef Tub. Located 1.5 hours drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, Moffat is the ideal base for touring southern Scotland. The town of Moffat and the surrounding Moffat hills present a haven for walkers of all abilities and the perfect place for a walking holiday. For golfers there is a challenging 18-hole course with 360 degree views over the surrounding Moffat countryside. In addition to its famous wool and toffee, Moffat offers gardens, art & culture and a choice of excellent welcoming pubs and restaurants.

Why Caroline Massey chose Moffat
I bought Lazydays Cottage because I was looking specifically for a holiday let property. I immediately loved the character and cosy feel of the cottage. It's location is perfect - right in the centre of town, yet perfect for escaping from it all in the stunning countryside.

Great cottage in ideal location
Would highly recommend this cottage in Moffat
Exactly as described !
Spent 4 days in Moffat, hiking . Ideally placed to access the best hills lochs and waterfalls. Plenty of shops and supplies , restaurants etc within 2 minutes walk of the cottage. We were there in the June 2018 heatwave, whilst upstairs did get very hot, the thick stone walls kept downstairs nice and cool. Just a few minutes from the motorway - so journey back to oxford was just 4 h 30 mins. Owner was available to resolve one minor problem when we arrived. Only downside is that there is no outdoor space. Would certainly use again if we came back to this area, and would highly recommend.
Lazy Days Cottage
On what was a very cold short break the warmth and comfort (and its central location in Moffat) of the cottage was great. Good fish and chips 2 doors down!
