Great Villa, Perfect place and stay
I fully recommend for ohters
Villa Sapphire is superb!
We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Villa Sapphire and have had the most fantastic time! The villa is gorgeous with such a stunning view that you could sit and look at all day! It is very well equipped and well-kept. The owner Joanna is great and as soon as we booked the stay through owners direct e-mailed us and phoned to arrange transfers from the airport (at a very reasonable price) and reminded us about visa's etc. Also gave advice on the local area. Yusuf, the manager was brilliant and responded to texts immediately - nothing too much trouble.
During our stay we visited sunken city, hired a private boat, went white water rafting, had a Turkish massage and ate in many restaurants which were all fantastic - did not have one bad meal! Kalkan centre is about 10 minutes walk from the villa. Overall a fantastic holiday and I highly recommend it.
Fantastic property and pool wonderful views
Wonderful property with great pool and fantastic views. Town has great restaurants bars and wonderful shops with a local market on a Thursday. Boat trip and other trips can be easily booked from the town. Supermarkets and fresh produce also available if needed.
Taxi service also easy to arrange. Good range of information for trips restaurants etc in villa.
Thank you for your 5 star review - we're glad you love Kalkan as much as we do.
Great setting to chill and for activities
The villa is well kept with wonderful views. In addition to chilling round the pool there are loads of activities and outstanding historical places to visit. Can't wait to go again.
Thank you for your super review. We're glad you keep coming back to Kalkan.
Fantastic Trip enhanced by wonderful Villa
Villa Sapphire is the perfect base for a terrific holiday in Kalkan. The Villa is just a short walk from a very exciting town with lots of exciting bars, restaurants, shops and activities ready to be experienced. The focal point of the Villa is the lovely pool where you can relax and enjoy the Sun and the wonderful views.
Villa Sapphire made an exciting holiday Relaxing and Unforgettable
Many thanks for your 5 star review. We are pleased you like Kalkan so much. Come again soon.
Villa Sapphire, Kalkan Turkey... Exceptional.
The villa has been fantastic, exceptional value for money when we actually work out just how much time we have spent literally at the villa. So much to do, weather has been superb everyday with the outdoor area at the villa perfect for taking full advantage with its so many sun and shade areas allowing each person to do as they please. Whether lying on a sun bed in the constant all day long sunshine, sitting at the many shaded table areas or chilling reading book on the hammocks (like having two it saves the squabbling).
Then there is the infinity pool with its fantastic views even better.
Been here almost two weeks (flown by) and I still enjoy the simple task of swimming to the front of the infinity pool and just admiring the stunning views.
I am so sorry to have to tell you this, but I didn't think your villa could be beaten as our No.1 favourite thing on holiday, but I'm affraid to say it has. Kalkan old town with its shops, bars and restaurants is a pure delight. Heading down each evening and deciding which fantastic restaurant to eat at tonight has been the best part of the holiday by miles. The people are all friendly and speak very good English (good job as my Turkish requires more practise, something I intend to come back and work on), the food superb and so many excellent choices for all the variations a young family need.
We had trips out to Oludeniz, Gocek and Kas, none of them are even remotely close to Kalkan Old Town in character or choice, we now realise that the best place we visited is a £2.50 taxi ride away from the villa. Next time, airport transfers and taxi's, who needs a hire car when the best around is right in front of your eyes... Literally.
Yusuf is fantastic, round most days always checking if we have everything we need, always happy to help, again it's the little things that make it special.
Normally whilst you don't want the holiday to end it's also nice to go home, but I honestly think we could stay here. You have a fantastic villa, with outrageous views of Kalkan bay, best place we have been lucky enough to visit. Not a single sight of trouble, everyone is so pleased to see you and incredibly helpful. The food is incredible and sunshine perfect.
Would we come back to Turkey... Absolutely. Would we come back to your villa and Kalkan.. Definitely. Just a massive thank you for sharing your perfect holiday home and Kalkan with us.
What a fantastic 5 star review. We're so glad you had such a fantastic time and want to book up again. You'll be most welcome!
15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Kalkan pebble beach.
10 minute drive east to Kaputas golden sand beach.
15 minute drive west to Patara golden sand beach.
There are several beach clubs in Kalkan, some which provide free pick up and drop off service.
The closest airport is Dalaman. The journey from Dalaman to Kalkan takes approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Kas - The charming and friendly upmarket resort of Kas is just a 1/2hr drive from Kalkan, along one of the most dramatic and beautiful coastal roads in the Mediterranean. Cradled by the Taurus Mountains, with over 300 days of sunshine, very low humidity, and warm crystal clear unpolluted sea, modern day Kas, with its cobbled streets, is built on the ancient site of Antiphellos. With its own amphitheatre, and close to numerous historic and unspoilt areas of natural beauty.
There are many places of natural beauty and historical interest to visit within easy reach; the Lycian Way; (which, according to the Sunday Times is one of the ten most beautiful long distance hikes of the world); Saklikent Gorge; Kekova Sunken City; Tlos; Xanthos; Letoon; Pinara and of course to the west, the magnificent beach of Patara with a sparkling length of pale golden sand that stretches for 18 miles! Take a drive into the mountains and you discover a lush region of lakes and streams, where you can feast on fresh trout in the midst of stunning scenery. With the absence of mass tourism the whole region remains unspoiled and is dotted with villages where time has stood still.
