Villa in Campagna, Nr. Agropoli, Campania, Italy - Peaceful Hillside Location, Stunning Views, Perfect Location From Which To Explore Southern Italy
- English, Italian
About Lib Piccirillo
The owners have spent most of their lives in England. However Lib was born in U Casin and came to England as a child. Their ambition has always been to rebuild the derelict farmhouse .Both Lib an d Val are fluent in Italian and before the villa was built visited this location on numerous occasions. They have a good knowledge of the area and would be happy to advise if requested on any aspect of your holiday.
Lib Piccirillo purchased this Villa in 2000
Why Lib Piccirillo chose Campagna
Inherited paternal land and derelictl house in 2000 and re-built from scratch the existing property which has some of the original features incorporated and was completed in 2014. I love the southern Italian philosophy to life. A very slow pace, a great passion for good food, family centred, the love of people and a positive outlook on everything.
What makes this Villa unique
Hillside location in the Campagnian hills. Remote but still within easy reach of local amenities. Most of the road to villa is made up of Tarmac, and the last few hundred yards to the villa is a rising farm track.

Lovely spot...very relaxing!
We all loved this villa. Having the private pool was great for the kids.
Yes the drive up is tricky but worth it. One thing for me I missed was being able to wander out during the evening. No fault of the property.
The villa is well presented and with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. I just wish it didn’t have WiFi as then you’d totally get away from the world (however understand more guests probably want this than not).
The villa, pool and outside spaces were well maintained and clean. All in all a great place to stay!!
I'm pleased my guests enjoyed their stay. I suppose from the photos you can see it's isolation and possibly not for those looking for nightlife. Our villa is more suited for those looking for peace and tranquillity ,but there is lots to do within an easy drive! Campagna which is 5 miles away by car offers that small medieval local town atmosphere at night.
Wonderful host- so helpful
The view is simply amazing
Perfect holiday for relaxing by the pool, or exploring the region
What an amazing place. The house was clean, very well equipped and perfect for two families as we had a floor each. The pool was fantastic and has wonderful views across the valley and to the mountains. Val and Lib truly were perfect hosts. Their knowledge of the area and the best activities and places to visit made our trip exciting and allowed us to see real Italy. The boat trip along the coast to Amalfi, Pompeii and the Greek temples are totally worth visiting.
I definitely hope to return very soon.
Terrific week off the beaten track. Literally. Spectacular location, great pool, great views, bats, wild boar...what more do you need for a relaxing week ? Its easy enough to get to pizza places, small mountain towns and supermarkets. Recommend Paestum, Pompeii, Ravello, some spectacular local cave systems and the Amalfi Coast. Lib and Val are very friendly, well informed and unobtrusive hosts and don't forget to make friends with Purdy the guard dog.
Val and Lib would like to thank you for your very kind remarks and Purdy our Spaniel sends a thousand licks
What a spot!
We have just returned from U Casin where we spent two wonderful weeks and celebrated our son's 40th birthday.
It was just a wonderful holiday with all our sons and their partners and grandchildren.
The house was great, so spacious and clean and everything you could possibly need. A bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was just what the doctor ordered after a three day journey to get to U Casin travelling on the motorrail!
Lib, Val & Purdey are just great, so kind and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. They helped us get my daughter in law's driving licence sent out to her when my son discovered his driving licence had run out when trying to hire a car!!!!
The view from the terraces is just to die for. It twinkles at night making it really magical and the fireflies were amazing!
We took boat trips to Capri and Positano and the beach at Paestum.
Thank you so much for letting us share your home, and we very much hope to come back one day.
Marion and Bill, it was a great pleasure and honour to have your family get together, and 40th birthday celebrationn at U Casin. It is is always a joy to have people stay who love the villa and the region as much as we do. Thank you for your kind words and hope to see you in the future.
The villa was excellent, the view from the villa and terrace you could never tire of and the hosts Lib, Val and Purdy were lovely. We have never gone back to any of the places we have stayed at, but now it's time to make an exception, we had a fantastic relaxing two weeks and enjoy the pool greatly. When not by the pool loads to do in this lovely region, easy reach to sandy beaches, the mountains, villages, Amalfi Coast and Naples.
