About Laura Fearon
We are Gavin & Laura Fearon and have been tenants on this National Trust Farm since 1993, we have grown up in the area and are both from farming family's. We run this together and have help from our two sons.
What makes this Cottage unique
Hollows Cottage is only 1/2 mile from Grange, where there is 2 busy tea rooms, and less than 5 mile from Keswick which is a bustling market town, the farm is rural but not isolated. We live next door to the cottage, it is owner maintained, and we have a good knowledge of the area for walks, eating out. Our youngest son has free range eggs for sale. You can often see Gavin working and training sheep dogs. We look forward to welcoming you to Hollows Farm.

Cosy farmhouse cottage in Barrowdale
Such a cosy cottage bed and sofa was very comfortable. Fully equipped with everything you need. The view from the cottage was outstanding. Plenty of walks close to the river and around the village. Even saw a deer crossing the drive up to The farm. Would highly recommend this place to a couple 👍👍👍
Thank you for your kind comments, I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Hollows Farm, you seemed to make the most of your week here despite the wet weather you had. Best wishes, Laura
Excellent, very impressed.
Cottage very cosy and comfortable.
Everything we needed for our stay was provided.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful,
The location is beautiful.
The activity on the farm was most interesting.
Good location if you don't mind animals and smells, which I don't.
Cottage was an ideal base for walking. It was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Enjoyed my stay. Owners helpful and on hand if needed.
Small, clean & perfect property in borrowdale valley
Lovely stay, clean and perfectly positioned accommodation. We had a lovely holiday walking and kayaking around Derwent water area. Hope to be back again soon.
Very comfortable and very clean. ( Looked new). Beautiful location and views.
The farm was situated a long way from the main road which made it very quiet and tranquil. The lake Derwent Water was within easy reach from the property. The property is extremely fine and pleasant for a quiet holiday.
Outstanding Holiday Accommodation
This cottage is one of the best my husband and I have stayed in. It is clean and designed with attention to detail and with all the amenities you need for your stay. We were a little disappointed that the Wi-Fi signal was too weak to make a connection most of the time, but apart from this it is an excellent place to stay to explore the Northern Lake District. We are thinking of returning in the Winter time to get some photos of snow on the fells.
