Why Ami Cook chose Amble
Near to the coast Loads of character but was in need of a lot off care and attention The town of amble has a lot to offer and has a lot of money being ploughed in to rejuvenate the harbour.
What makes this House unique
It is prime location, you could walk for 3 minute in many different directions. One direction will take you to the beach, another to the harbour, another to a big green, and another to the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Perfect holiday home
Beautiful, cosy home. Refurbished to a very stylish standard, amazingly spacious and very well-equipped. Perfect location for beach, easy walks to shops, restaurants etc and beautiful area to explore. Just a couple of things to consider - stairs very steep in house so not ideal for very young or very old. Bedrooms are both double, our sons were young enough to be fine sharing a bed, but may not work for everyone. Overall, we loved it - easy to book, excellent standard, would def come back.
Beautiful well equipped cottage.
Beautiful and fantastic location. Couldn't get in at the boathouse restaurant so they recommended their other restaurant. The fish shack please people don't fall for this. It was revolting and spoiled our last night.
Warm, well appointedand welcoming, a comfortable cottage that ideally suited our needs
Satisfied with the standard of accommodation in a very pleasant location. The property was ideally situated for walks with our dog and for strolls around the town, harbour and along the coastal stretch. Easy driving to many visitor sites, museums, Nat Trust properties, etc. and with on street parking immediately outside the property.
We had a lovely time
Good overall experience, house well equipped, clean and welcoming. Initial problem with keys quickly sorted out. It was very difficult to find the property, there is no road sign that says John St, you need to look for Newburgh st/rd and Marine road. Position was good, near lots of restaurants, glad we went.
A very nice Cottage
It was a lovely cottage in a nice quiet part of the town. We enjoyed visiting a new area the beaches just went on and on. The locals were all very friendly and only pleased to offer help. We would of liked some information on where and how to recycle glass and what went in what bin. This could be included in the infomation pack in the cottage.
Very comfortable and well equipped
Although very close to the sea and harbour there wasn't any view so as we had one day when the weather was very heavy rain we felt rather shut away. Love the county and the beaches were great for the dog.
There is a small beach literally 2 minutes away from the property. Warkworth beach is 2 miles south or the other option is druridge bay country Park which is 2 mile south which offers a beach, a lakes and trails.
The nearest airport is newcastle international approx 25 miles drive. Alnmouth train station is 5 miles away and has regular links north and south.
Amble town centre is a 5 minute walk from the property. The town centre has many excellent eateries, quirky shops and unique cafés. The market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth are a 15 minute drive away north and south.
There is a swimming pool and gym 5 minutes away from the property which is available for public use. There is a tesco and a coop in Amble, for bigger supermarkets there is a Lidl, Sainsburys and Morrisons in Alnwick.

Bookings are to referred Saturday - Saturday however we can be flexible and short breaks are available on request. Please enquire for prices as number of days/nights for shorter stays can appear higher on the website due to the new pricing scheme.
