Spacious apartment, beautiful terrace
We spent 4 days at the Garibaldi apartment, and loved it. Location is perfect, and within easy walking distance of everything in Trastevere, major sites in Rome, etc. The apartment is roomy and nicely appointed, and the large sun terrace is private and beautiful. Marta met us at the apartment and was very helpful and friendly. Taking off one star because the apartment could have been cleaner, especially since they collect a cleaning fee. There is some mold in the 2nd bathroom that should certainly be addressed. Fix that, and we would certainly stay here again.
Close but quiet.
This is an excellent location in Trastevere as it’s a relatively quiet street with a bodega a short walk away and the classic Roma Bar Caffe Settimiano on the corner. It’s a short walk to Via Della Scala which is lined with restaurants and bars. Ponto Sisto and the Birra popups along the Tiber were a few steps away as is the Piazza Trilussa and its musica buskers. Again – a good location.
The Air Conditioner and Lift were a welcome relief from the sweltering Rome heat of August. At first we were concerned that the smaller bedroom that did not have the AC unit was going to be warm but simply leaving the main unit on whilst we toured distributed the air sufficiently. The kitchen seemed well stocked though small but it suffers from an illogical floorplan placement far away from the other rooms of the house. Frank Lloyd Wright would have found floorplan hellish and the rooms are of disproportionate sizes and amenities so be prepared to flip a coin.
We had some trouble with the electrical outlets as power would simply ghost on us on particular outlets but operate just fine in adjacent ones. Very strange - but not my circus and not my monkey. We simply learned to move outlets. We also found the shared bath was in need of repair for a leaky shower hose.
In keeping with the strange floor plan, the master bath is bit of a strange layout by Americano standards as the shower faucets are on one wall and the shower head 90 degrees and a short distance away. It’s like your walled-eyed uncle – he’s looking at you but describing something down the street.
The patio is a nice feature but the large umbrella was broken by time we arrived in late August but honestly it was so hot during our time that the only time we frequented the patio was at night anyway.
The management company seemed a professional operation rather than a single owner and and our rep, Raphelle was accommodating and friendly. The only downside to check in was that the mobile credit card machine so common to Italy in 2018 couldn’t get a signal in the thick walls. We payed cash and moved on.
We’d recommend the Garibaldi Flat.
Lovely, quiet and a great location.
It was very hot when we got there (8/19/18) but the apartment had air conditioning so was great! Lots of room, and the terrace was a nice perk, too. And there is an elevator, so no need to haul bags up those marble stairs!! I'd definitely stay there again, though Rome in August is packed to the gills at all the typical sites. It was nice to come home to a quiet oasis in Trastevere.
Perfect Trastevere location
This apartment was perfect for our stay in Rome. It is a very short walk across the Tiber river to all of the main attractions. And it has the added benefit of being part of the Trastevere neighborhood -- a quiet area filled with great local restaurants. The apartment's terrace provided a wonderful, quiet outdoor space to relax -- really special. Weekey Rentals communicated rapidly and well. We had a perfect time. Highly recommended.
It was a nice apartment in a good location.
Nice place but the management were not on the ball. There was no toilet paper or soap in the entire apartment when we arrived. We called and were told they would be delivered but never were. Luckily there was a store across the street. We were told someone would meet us at our arrival but we had to wait for over an hour. Other then that it was a nice large two bedroom apartment with a very nice patio. Many great restaurants in the area and fairly close walking distance to Vatican and other tourist attractions. I would stay there again.
we are sorry for the 1 hour waiting and for the lack of toilet papaer and soap. The reason why you didn't find any soap or toilet paper upon arrival is because we checked you in earlier (check in time is after 2pm but we agreed to meet you before) and the apartment wasn't fully ready yet. We ask our clients to call/text 30 minutes before arriving at the apartment so that we can have the time to send someone of our staff: if the client call/text us when is already at the apartment it can happen that he has to wait
Good home base for a week in Rome.
Nice air condition apartment with a private deck and two bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a nice gathering room. The kitchen wasn't very useful, but we didn't try to use it, as neighborhood restaurants were too good. Excellent location for our purposes. Did not have access to washing machine. Very quiet.
While Rome seduces with its extraordinary monuments, Trastevere captures the traveler's heart. It is the most authentic and characteristic district, the perfect place to glimpse the old world while enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. Often described as Bohemian, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to the old, narrow, winding, cobblestone streets. Homes decorated with flower boxes and clinging ivy interlace with coffee bars, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.Take a stroll to the lively Piazza Trilussa or to the amazing Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. Crossing Ponte Sisto you can reach within walking distance many astonishing places such as Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Imperial Forum, the Coliseum and Spanish Steps. Following the river Tiber for 10 minutes you may reach the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel.
