Bungalow in Sennen, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location, 5minutes Walk To Sennen Beach
About ruth cheyne
We have lived in Sennen for the past 15 years, originally as "Covers" in Capstan Cottage, but with our extending family we have now become "Overhillers" and moved up to Sunny Corner Lane. Sennen is a very special place and it will be lovely to share it's magic with others.
ruth cheyne purchased this Bungalow in 2012
Why ruth cheyne chose Sennen
Perfect location for kids and dogs as it is set on a private road, with large, enclosed gardens but also has good access to Sennen or Gwenver beach. The perfect day here is loading up a packed lunch, body boards and beach kit and setting off for the day, arriving home at the end of the day salty, sandy and exhausted and watching the sunset on the deck with nice glass of wine.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Eventide is our family home. Fully renovated with new kitchen, two new bathrooms, oak flooring throughout. We also have a holiday let in Sennen cove (Capstan cottage) and I am therefore experienced in managing the busy change overs and ensuring everything is just right for your perfect holiday. Eventide is a lovely location for a family beach holiday. It is set back from Sunny corner lane, down its own private road which means it is peaceful and safe for kids and dogs. It is a short walk to Sennen or Gwenver and to the coast path. As it is our family home you will find everything you could possible need for a perfect holiday.

Damage and incidentals
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property that is caused by you or your party during your stay.
Location: Easy for the fit to walk down to the cove and we’ll worth it as the views are spectacular. Those with walking difficulties would find it too steep.
The local Cost Cutter shop and the Chip Shop is at the other end of the village and about 20 minutes steady walk away. The last inn in England is another 10 minutes further (but well worth it 😊)
The property: There were a few minor niggles which I am sure will be sorted by the owner. One of the bedroom sliding doors would not open, a few of the double glazed windows were blown and difficult to see through (as these were to the rear of the property this did not spoil the view of the sea and clouds - spectacular!). There was no hairdryer in the property (although it was supposed to have one) luckily my wife took one which was used by the 3 women in the group. The rear garden would be great for young children as it is well equipped with slides and swings. The front garden has a great deck with chairs and tables for those alfresco meals. The kitchen had all needed (and more) to cook those gourmet meals but remember to take salt and pepper as these were not present. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms had lots of hanging and storage space. Hot water was plentiful whenever needed.
All in all a pleasant, comfortable and well appointed holiday home.
Great place to stay
This bungalow is a great place to stay- down a quiet road off sunny corner lane. Short walk to the beach- house fully stocked and loads of space. Hoping to return next year
Amazing location, more spacious than we thought!
We (a family of 4 couples and a dog) stayed here for a week in August. The cottage is very comfortable, clean, and spacious (more, we thought, than the pics show). The kitchen, lounge, garden and decking (with BBQ) were great social areas, and you can sit on the decking in the evening and watch the sunset over the Atlantic. The kitchen was fully-stocked with all the equipment we could need. There were great walks along the cliff top and long days spent on Sennen beach (both just a stroll away). Couldn't have been better.
Special interest holidays:

Yoga: there is a local class twice weekly in Sennen.
Theatre: the Minack 4miles away and has showings in afternoons and evenings in the summer months.
Surfing: Sennen and the surrounding beaches provide some of the best surfing in England, there are two surf schools in Sennen.
Lands end: makes an interesting day out with lots to do and see with firework displays every Thursday evening.
You can visit St Ives on the open top bus from the cove which runs everyday. This makes a great day out.
Fishing: try fishing off the pier in the cove and catch Pollock and bass. If no luck you can always buy fresh lobster from the old boathouse.
There are some great coastal walks from the house out to Gwenver, Cape Cornwall or Lands End.
A five minute walk down Vallendreath valley takes you to Sennen Beach or walk to the end of Sunnycorner lane and across the cliff and down to Gwenver, a dog friendly beach, this takes about 10minutes on foot.
