Perfect accommodation for our stay in Manuden

The Garden Barn is situated in a lovely village setting. The accommodation is clean, bright and compact. Everything has been thought of (even down to candles for a birthday cake). The fridge contained fresh milk and butter. Tea , coffee and sugar were provided. A lovely touch was a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake. The owner was hospitable and extremely helpful.

The mezzanine bedroom had plenty of storage space, a comfy bed and nice ensuite.

We had a small, private walled garden accessible through the patio doors. The little robin which came every day was a bonus.

We couldnot fault our stay and will definitely be back later in the year.

Excellent little hideaway

A lovely, well appointed barn conversion in the heart of Manuden.

Ideally suited for a couple, it can also cater for another two people on the sofa bed, so a family with younger children will find it comfortable.

It has everything you could need and a well kept walled garden that is a little sun trap in the summer.

We had a welcome pack including milk, coffee, tea etc and a platter of fairy cakes to boot :)

We will certainly be back!

Everything you need is here.

It is really good to have your own private garden. It had very nice shrubs and bowls and baskets with pansies in. A real bonus. The barn is perfect for a holiday, everything you need is here. The bed was comfortable with good bedding. The shower was large with plenty of hot water. The kitchen is small but has everything in perfect working order for your break. We spent two and a half weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Wir haben für unseren Urlaub einen zentralen Punkt gesucht der sehr ruhig ist, wir aber dennoch viel unternehmen können. Diese Unterkunft war einfach hervorragend dafür. Sie war supersauber und alles war da was man brauchte. Zur Begrüßung haben wir einen wirklich leckeren Kuchen bekommen.

Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einige tolle Stunden hier verbracht. Der kleine abgetrennte Garten ist wirklich wunderschön und lädt zum draußen sitzen ein.

Wenn wir Hilfe brauchten oder Fragen hatten konnten wir Sian immer ansprechen. Sie war wirklich sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr gefreut bei ihr unter zukommen.

Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Traumhafte Unterkunft

Wir haben eine Woche in diesem sehr liebevoll und komplett eingerichteten Feriendomizil verbracht. Sian ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, bei unserer Anreise hat sie uns sogar einen Kuchen gebacken.

Das Ferienhaus ist für 3-4 Personen sehr gut geeignet. Wir sind zu dritt (2 Erwachsene,1 Kind) gereist. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gut und vollständig. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich das Schlafzimmer mit ausreichend Stauraum. Auch das Bad ist im Obergeschoss. Im Erdgeschoss das WOhnzimmer mit der Möglichkeit einer Schlafcouch.

Bei schönem Wetter kann man den am Haus gelegenen kleinen aber sehr schönen Garten nutzen.

Um die Ecke befindet sich ein gutes Pub, wenn man mal nicht selbst kochen möchte ;-)

The Yew Tree Pub is within walking distance.

In the surrounding area, there is Saffron Walden Castle, Museum and Fry Art Gallery, The Rhodes Museum in Bishops Stortford, Henry Moore Gallery in Much Hadham, Thaxted with its Guildhall and Music Festival and the fabulous Audley End House which are all within a 30 minute drive. Duxford Air Museum is well worth a visit and Cambridge with its historic university and punting on the river Cam is 40 minutes by car.
