The apartment is situated in Beyoglu/Pera.You are in 4 Min in Taksim, Istiklal Street and Galata Tower. Very close by foot, bus or tram to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The Beyoglu district is since the 19.Century the heart of Istanbul. It is one of the most colourful urban neighbourhoods with art gal., shops, restaurants, theatres and unique night life where also the main intellectual and cultural life has its centre. Although the flat is in down town, it is hidden in quiet small street. It is few steps to the British Consulate next to the German Protestant and Armenian churches. The 95 M2 flat with alarm has an exclusive design and is perfect for a family or a group of friends. It is on the first floor of the house 4 steps only. There is enough place for 7 persons. The living room can be changed with a very comfortable sofa bed to a bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped. A small balcony is looking to the beautiful and silent shared garden. It suits for longer staying.
We arrived here in march and, as the pictures show, the house was beautiful. Every room had it's charms. The house was comfortable and immaculate.
It is located in a nice neighborhood. It's one of those parts of Istanbul where you feel you are visiting the 'real' city.
For a short stay, there is everything you could need to make visit comfortable. Traditional bakeries, pastry shops, cafes, markets... And even if few more contemporary storefronts have popped up.
It seemed to me that the area was going through a transition, and it's one of those places where one has the pleasure to see a vibrant city in transition, a welcome contrast to the ancient tourist sights that typically filled our days.
Sophia one of the owners, greeted us upon our arrival and gave us an overview of the area, of which she is very knowledgable. She was generous with his time and thoughtful in answering our questions. One could not hope for a better host.
We enjoyed staying here very much.
This is a lovely spacious apartment very well located for a holiday in Istanbul. Even with our 2 kids in tow (13 & 10) it was only walking distance to Spice Market, Grand Bazaar, Ayasophia, Blue Mosque, Istiklal Caddesi and Taksim. The apartment is well equipped and extremely clean with Galata Tower almost within arm's reach!
It is, in fact, a great apartment good taste and nice details. The pictures show exactly what the apartment is. Besides all that, it is very well located in a very pleasant place, just aside of Galata Tower, near of lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. It was the perfect place to stay in Istambul!
We are two couples who stayed at the apartment for 6 days. The apartment, next to Galata Tower, couldn't be better placed for visiting all the different districts of Istanbul. It is also very roomy, and very comfortable. The beds, in particular, are big and very comfortable. Any questions or queries were dealt with quickly and courteously by Sophia and his team. A leisurely 1 minute walk down the hill takes you to the trams, and the Travel Card enables you to use all the transport systems - trams, buses, underground, and funicular (great for avoiding the climb back uphill at the end of the day). It even allows you to have a ride on the old fashioned tram that runs along the pedestrianised area to and from Taksim Square. All in all, the apartment offers very good value for money.
The apartment itself was lovely. In a nice area. The beds were not at all comfortable. They felt like sleeping directly on box springs. I had to position myself just so as to try to avoid springs poking into me. Also, we had issues with the heater. It never seemed to work just so. The owners were very helpful in coming and showing us how to turn it on but we never could quite get it to work to its fullest and being we arrived when it was snowing, it was quite cold. I did appreciate the owners willingness to help us with any issues but the beds just made for a very restless sleep. We ended up taking turns sleeping on the couch.
Perfect for our 5 days. We were surprised by the high quality of the apartment. It had absolutely everything you could need for the stay. It was immaculate, clean and welcoming. The location is fantastic, so close to the Galata Tower, tunnel station and Sishane station so you can get around the entire city very easily. Many little supermarkets are very close and the local fruit and vegetable shops are great. The apartment was very secure and help was always a text message away. I could not recommend the apartment more highly. Thank you we loved our stay.
A truly excellent spot to be in the center in a very comfortable apartment away from the traffic but close to everything, galleries cafes and main spots. We know the area well having lived here for a couple of years a while ago and we would choose this over any other location. It's ideally situated between the sights and the street culture without being overrun by either. There are so many really good places to eat or sit about within 5 minutes walk. The apartment is well described and the rooms were clean, comfortable and pleasant though a group of 4 people would find it comfortable. The owner and manager were very helpful and friendly and our arrangements were very smoothly sorted out. I would certainly recommend it.
The apartment is situated in Beyoglu, withing a walking distance to Taksim, Istiklal street, Galata tower and Golden Horn. Very close by foot, bus or tram to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. In five minutes walking distance you have the metro station, the urban train station, bus stop and the harbour for the ferryboats (Karaköy and Eminönü) to the Asian side (Kadiköy) and Prince Islands. The historical habitants of Beyoglu,Armenians, Greeks and Jews left behind buildings, schools churches and synagogues with astonishing architecture in this area. In few steps is the famous Nevizade, an open fish and vegetable Market with many restaurants and bars. Behind the ancient Galatasaray school is Cukurcuma, with its diverse antique shops, cosy cafes and the ancient Galatasaray Hamami (Turkish Bath). The famous Istiklal street offers art galleries, restaurants, cafes, bookshops, concert halls, sightseeing and the possibility to see the Turkish everyday life.
