Chez Desier - Farmhouse with Large Private Pool

We were very fortunate to find this gem of a holiday location through HomeAway and I couldn't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a family holiday away from it all.

From the welcome and hospitality shown by Craig and Becky, through to the beautiful and serene privacy of the gardens and pool, and something to meet every need in the house, we really couldn't have asked for more.

Within easy reach of airports, it meant that I was able to drive down with my 19 year old son and our dog, while my wife, daughter, her partner and my 8 week old grandson all flew.

There is so much to love about Chez Besier and having rented family accommodation throughout France for the last 25+ years, this has to rank among the very best.

Whether chilling out in the hammocks or the covered terrace, surrounded by lovely countryside or bbq'ing by the pool, the space enabled everyone to do their own thing and also have fun together. A large garden meant that our dog had the space to wander and with a pool deep enough to dive at one end, meant that we had hours of fun in and around the pool.

Inside the house, with SKY TV, a well equipped games room and a kitchen with every gadget you may need, again we were able to cater for the needs of a very diverse age range.

The immediate area is very unspoilt and you really do feel like you are 'getting away from it all'. Spectacular sunsets and spotting the satellites and shooting stars at nighttime add to the real feeling of tranquility.

There is still plenty to explore by car, in the surrounding region, with picturesque towns and sites well worth visiting, from the local market town of Riberac (with seemingly a large population of ex pat Brits) to the mad folly chateau of La Mercerie among others.

Thanks again to Craig and Becky for their wonderful hospitality and although they live next door, you wouldn't know they are there.
