|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The architect designed stone villa was built as an all year round home and is furnished to a high standard and tastefully decorated. It is spacious sleeping 11 people in 4 bedrooms 2 en suite. The third and adjoining fourth bedroom is outside the main villa building but within the large stone walled garden. There is a shower and separate toilet next to the swimming pool. The villa has a large open plan well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and dining area leading to the circular lounge with an open fire good supply of logs , satellite T.V and stunning wooden vaulted circular ceiling .The master bedroom is similarly circular with wooden vaulted ceiling . In addition there is a large hall, alarm system and cloakroom WC and washing machine .There are 3 raised terraces 1 with built in open fire/BBQ with ample dining furniture. The tropical garden has a wealth of flowers, fruit trees, shrubs and grasses.
The swimming pool is surrounded by a marble patio area ideal for sunbathing.
There is a genuine full size American pool table in the games area.
The villa is in a rural area and there is a supply of dvds , cds, games and books .Saterlite T.V. in the sitting room and T.V with dvd in the master bedroom. There is a new complex 10 minutes walk away which has a small shop, resturant, and bar. You will see much wild life .A local farmer and his family walks their livestock past morning and evening. There is a resident owl which can be seen most days. Dalaman is a typical turkish town and you will see the goat ladies grazing their goats on the road verges and the local very free range chickens stealing the vegetables. There is a selction of fruit in the garden. Many people find it difficult to leave the villa during their stay to explore the many interesting places and activities in the area.
Saregerme beach , within 20 mins, has a large selection of water activities as well as a large beautiful sandy beach will resturants, showers, wc, sun beds etc. and even a small zoo area. The drive to the beach is spectacular with every pole topped with a stork nests complete with storks.
Further on , half an hour away, is Dalyan, famous for its leatherhead turtles, where you can feed the fish, famous blue crabs and the turtles as well as shop, eat and drink. There are many boat trips available for as little as £3.50 each.
The 12 island boat trip, which can be picked up at Gocek or fethiye should not be missed , nor should Tlos and Sakilkent gorge.
Ortaca market is great for a taste of turkish life and is on the way to Dalyan and Iztuzu( turtle) beach.
The villa is good for families , it has a cot and gates at the top of the steps from the main terrace to prevent young children going down into the garden and pool.
Also it is a romantic place for couples to stay. We have had a number of honeymooners stay.
I fell in love with this villa at first sight. The architectural design , the space, the quality of finish, the large tropical gardens completely enclosed by an eight foot high stone wall just blew me away. I have thouroughly enjoyed it ever since.
Space , quality, seclusion, designed by a local architect whose work is widely valued, impressive wooden vaulted ceilings. Equipped to a high standard .Such a variety of different places near by and easily accessible.
The beautiful villa was clean, spacious and very well equipped, we found it was remote enough to be quiet but a few minutes away from the town and importantly a good choice of restaurants.
We spent our time between Dalaman, Sarigerme and Gocek which were all very nice small towns to visit.
Having tried a few different villas in Turkey, this one was the best quality and having your own personal pool was the best way to wake up in the morning and cool off in the afternoon.
We didn't get much use of the pool table after out my partner was better than me at it.
The aircon in the rooms made a huge difference and definitely made sleeping more comfortable.
No complaints and look forward to staying with you again next year!
WOW what a holiday, A+ all the way, I was a bit doubtful about a November break expecting a bit of what we left behind i.e. Rain Clouds and cold, instead we had 8 days of wall to wall sunshine with temperatures up in the 30°C+ every day.
The Villa is beautiful and obviously designed with luxury and comfort in mind, inside two bedrooms are large and airy with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms, the rest of the Villa is open plan with comfortable lounge area, spacious dinning area and a large kitchen with everything needed for those that like there food home cooked, ourselves we made good use of the BAR-B-Q (cooking meat and fish bought in Dalaman) on the rear patio using wood supplied, this backed up with regular use of the excellent restaurant recommended to us kept us well nourished.
The Villa surround is a sight for sore eyes, from the rear (East facing) patio you have the 3rd bedroom, again with plenty of room and it’s own bathroom, I imagine this, for a family with grown children would give them an independent feel while being secure in a walled garden with locked gate. In front of this is the swimming pool, crystal clear water thanks to constant filtering and a beautiful Blue thanks to the tiling, around this is a great sun bathing area for those with the courage to risk sunburn, I stayed on the patio in the shade with a good book (thanks Kindle), there is also a pool table but it seemed too energetic for me.
Further round is the South facing patio, catching the midday sun it’s a bit hot for me but it faces the garden with the fruit trees and I did enjoy picking the odd Pomegranate, it felt a bit like scrumping when I was a lad which added to my pleasure.
Continuing round is the West facing patio and in the evenings we watched the sun set and birds (flycatchers) darting after flies, we had a bottle of Kilbeggan Whisky at hand and toasted their every success.
For anyone interested if you wake early in the morning, I usually wake about 4am from habit, go out to the rear patio and look at the stars, there is little light pollution and the sky is brilliant with stars you feel you can almost reach up and touch.
Enjoy your holiday, I did..
This villa was amazing. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and has everything you require and more to make your stay perfect. The weather was kind to us 25C most days and clear sky's.
This is the best villa I have ever stayed in and the local people are so friendly and helpful, if it was possible to give it another star I would.
Stayed for 5 nights back in the last week of October 2014 (UK school half term).
I selected this Villa after doing a fair bit of research and it ticked all the right boxes:
Privacy - conservative family requiring poolside modesty
Seclusion - away from hordes of tourists
Coast - near beaches
Local facilities - near enough to shops and restaurants
Major roads - close to infrastructure allowing travel to other towns
Travel time - 20 mins from the airport
This Villa certainly met the criteria.
It's worth noting that a large building seems to have been constructed recently behind the villa and when it is eventually occupied, some of the residents will be able to overlook the pool. Not a problem for most people, but should be taken into account if absolute privacy is a concern.
A car is a must. The Villa is walking distance to a large supermarket, but beyond that you'd need a car unless your intention is to never leave the villa (and that is also an option when the weather is nice and hot). If you want to visit the other towns (Dalyan, Fetihye, Olu Deniz etc) you may as well hire a car.
Karen the owner, or Ruth the agent can arrange this through a very pleasant local company who we additionally used to take us to/from the airport - a very good price and flexible arrangements for the car hire. Very pleased.
The Villa itself is 'fully loaded'. Dishwasher, washing machine, cooker etc along with cleaning products to use them (though the nearby supermarket sells these if you need your own and are coming on a hand-luggage fare preventing you from bringing washing liquid etc). Tons of crockery and cutlery too.
The two main bedrooms within the villa were spacious and the ensuites were great. We didn't use the 3rd bedroom as it was in a separate building within the complex, but it was of a good size.
The grounds were nice and well maintained. The pool was of a decent size and seemed ideal to bask in the sunshine. Sadly the pool was too cold for most of us at that time of year (end of October), but that is not unexpected.
The best beach in the entire region is nearby at Serigerme, which we enjoyed.
I would recommend this Villa as you get to experience a proper Turkish working town without any of the fakeness associated with places catering for tourists. This will lead to some language barriers but the locals are very friendly and patient. The prices are cheap compared to say Fethiye - especially in restaurants.
Loved our stay here.
My wife and I along with our 14 year old son have just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks staying at this beautiful villa. It had everything we could have hoped for and more with a wonderful pool, a games area in the garden with a full size pool table and all mod cons (washing machine, water cooler etc). All the furniture is really good quality and we felt immediately at home. Quite a few nights were spent enjoying the kofte from the local butcher cooked on the patio BBQ, finished off with a few G&Ts sat overlooking the pool and enjoying the wonderful peace and quiet the villa and its location offers.
The villa is ideally located a short drive from Dalaman town centre where one can buy pretty much all the essentials needed on holiday and only 5 mins from the dual carriageway that allows you to explore for the entire coast e.g. Dalyan only 20 minutes away and Fethiye just over an hours drive.
There are a few English language channels on the TV, though I only turned it on to see the news a couple of times. Loads of modern DVDs available in the house if teenagers/adults fancy a movie night. Wifi is available and is topped up at the Vodafone shop in town, think it was £3 for unlimited wifi for a week (very slow), or £13 for fast internet but limited to 4gb.
From initial contact with the owners right through to booking and contact with Ruth at the property management company we were really well looked after. It is also worthwhile using the recommended hire car company as they will collect you from the airport, give you a tour of the villa, handover the keys and at the end of it all you can leave the keys with them when you drop the car off before they take you to the airport.
I would have absolutely no hesitation booking this villa again and indeed would have done already only I am not yet sure of my work commitments for summer 2015.
Linda, you have a nice Villa and we will come back. Regards Rainer und Birgitta
