A Happy New Year.
We had a lovely, restful stay in this beautifully presented property which is in an idyllic location.
The house is well equipped and both very tastefully and comfortably furnished with many thoughtful touches; not least the very welcome bottle of wine left for us by Shirley.
The views from the house are unrivalled by any other in Port Isaac and it was just a treat to wake up to the sight and sound of the sea.
Being able to park at the property was a bonus - this is hard to come by in the harbour area of Port Isaac.
Shirley provided us with plenty of useful information for our stay, communicated readily with us and was available by phone, to assist, if required.
There is plenty to see and do in and around Port Isaac, either on foot or by car.
Staying in Fern Cottage gave us a wonderful and much-needed break; it’s in a perfect location and we hope to return again very soon.
Everything about the stay was awesome
The only complaint is that there needs to be matches and candles just incase the lights go out and to light the fireplace if one wishes...The place was extremely comfortable and lovely to stay in The owner was easily accessible and prompt to any and all concerns. We hope to stay here again.... everything was first class. Thank you for a Soul Soothing holiday .. we appreciate everything about this stay ... Merry Christmas too
Excellent house in a lovely village.
The house was as expected, in a superb location very close to the harbour and pub!
This is such an idyllic, beautiful cottage in prime location of the fantastic village of Port Isaac and a stone's throw from the harbour. Really wonderful opportunity to stay here being a fan of the show and everything coast path! Quaint cottage with a number of original features, lots of visitors to admire the property from the outside. Really worth a stay.
We absolutely loved everything about the cottage, the village and the surroundings.
Fern Cottage is a beautifully decorated and situated property with everything we needed for our stay. The cottage has a wonderful homely feel and is really warm and cosy. Communication about the cottage and Port Isaac was fantastic. We loved every minute and we are looking forward to returning.
Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable.
5 stars *****
Doc Martin Tourist Cottage!
Great location & sea views. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Very comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend staying here. There is parking at the cottage but the street is very narrow and we decided to park on the public car park 5 minutes away. The cottage is a very big tourist attraction so be aware that you will have photographs being taken at all times of the day in all weather conditions. There are signs saying private property but this doesn’t stop them looking through the windows & standing in the doorway. We expected this as we are Doc Martin fans too! It really wasn’t a problem ,so just enjoy it like we did.
