Letterfrack Farm lodge is a beautifully finished and furnished holiday home in a stunning location with views of Connemara National Park and Diamond Mountain. Located on a small Connemara Pony farm - the house is set on a large private site only a minutes walk into Letterfrack village which has a great choice of pubs, shops and restaurants. The sea is a couple of minutes away and a short drive will bring you to any number of deserted, white , sandy beaches. There is lots to do in the area with Kylemore Abbey 3 miles away, a dive centre, adventure centre and several boat trips available near-by. The house is finished to a high standard with white leather sofas and high quality furniture throughout. It has three large bedrooms, two en suite and a large bathroom with jacuzzi bath. There is an open plan kitchen, sitting and dining room and a separate large study room. There are two patios outside to catch the morning and afternoon sun from which there are lovely views of Diamond Mountain.
Lots to do and see.: There are some great hill walks, loads of lovely sandy beaches, good music and culture in the area. Try to take a two week break as a week is never enough.
We live and work in Letterfrack. My family is from the local area. It is a wonderful place to live in and visit. We have a small Connemara Pony Farm - the ponies compete in local competitions and various competitions all over Ireland - mainly working hunter, dressage and show jumping.
Carmel Curran purchased this house in 2000
This house is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty - there is lots to do during the day and in the evening the village is a short stroll from the house.
It is a lovely tranquil property in a secure garden only a short stroll from Connemara National Park, shops, restaurants and three traditional Irish pubs. Close to beaches, mountains and all the wonderful sights of Connemara.
We stayed in the house for a week and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and comfortable and charming. Carmel and her husband were friendly, cheerful, and very helpful. The area is just as we had hoped it would be.....beautiful, quiet, and central to the things we wanted to see. We traveled all over Connemara and were happy to return to our little home away from home in the evenings. There is a grocery store, restaurants and pub all within walking distance. I recommend this to anyone and thank you Carmel for a great place to stay.
