Fantastic location, right in the heart of Bamburgh Village, a few minutes' walk to the Castle and the village amenities. Formerly the old Boys School, and now renovated into two properties, the upper property, The Old Schoolhouse, is a holiday home designed over the 1st and 2nd floors of the property. Offering 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge/diner, and separate kitchen, it is reached by an external staircase from the sunny courtyard, to the entrance door at 1st floor level, where there is a hall way leading to 2 main reception rooms:

Lounge with sofas, TV with DVD, portable CD player, dining table and chairs, electric stove effect fire, set in the stone inglenook.

Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, breakfast table, Belfast sink - hand made storage cupboards.

Shower room (mains shower) with wc & whb, and washing machine.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1: kingsize double bed, plus a single bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables

Bedroom 2: Super kingsize bed (which can be set up as 2 singles) plus a separate single bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables.

Family bathroom: - bath with handheld shower, wc and whb.

What is included:

All bedding, bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating fuel, Wi-fi (unlimited).

Outside courtyard with table and chairs, lush planting, and gravelled area, also offering off road for 2 vehicles (note this area is not gated)

What can be arranged:

Travel cot (no cot linen) and high chair may be hired separately.

Features of special note.* The Old School House is situated a stone's throw from the splendid Bamburgh Castle, and less than a mile from Bamburgh Castle Golf Club.

* The flexible bedroom configuration and the property's close proximity to a number of good local pubs and eateries makes it ideal for families and extended families, or 4 singles or 2 couples particularly those whose interests include golfing, walking, birdwatching and photography etc.

A good housekeeping bond of £150 is required to be lodges during your stay. To arrange to pay for the good housekeeping bond, one of the property management team will contact you once your booking arrives.

​Dogs are now accepted at the Old Schoolhouse at £25 per dog per week or part thereof. To book your dog in, please add a note to the property manager when you place your booking. You will need to pay separately the £25 for your dog, one of the property management team will contact you once your booking arrives.

Right in the heart of the village

Great location in the village and a very quiet spot. This is a really spacious flat and very good facilities- Super spot for a family holiday. The renovations have been really well done and the bedrooms have really sweet window seats with views of the castle. It might be worth mentioning that there are quite a lot of stairs but that really wasn't a problem for us !

Perfect find and comfort

The size of the bedrooms is great and the beds are soooo comfortable (which is rare to find) beautiful view of castle and great location to all amenities. Great little gravel seating , ideal for breakfast outside .

Kept very nicely and stairs not a problem as in keeping with style and help make it spacious.

Buses run by Arriva and Travelsure stop in Seahouses itself the X15 and the X18 services run north and south along the coast from Berwick to Newcastle

Airport:

Newcastle International is approx 50 miles south, Edinburgh Airport is approx 90 miles north Both airports have daily internal flights from a number of UK locations, and international flights on a regular basis. Car hire is available from both airports.

Cycling:

Bamburgh and Seahouses are situated on Sustrans Coast and Castles Route 1 and is a popular stopping point.
