is a modern detached house on the hill above Newgale, finished to a high standard. You enter the property on the middle level with a light airy open plan living space, decorated in blues and whites to reflect the seaside feel. In the lounge you will find comfy sofas and a wood burner for cosy nights, TV , a DVD and CD player and wireless broadband. The kitchen offers another small, informal seating area as well as dining for up to 10 guests. In the family bathroom there is both bath and separate shower. Several French doors on this level lead out to the wraparound balcony which offer panoramic views over the magnificent sandy beach.

Upstairs on the top floor there are two large twin bedrooms, one sleeps 4 and the other 2, each with a TV , DVD player, games console and ensuite w.c.

Downstairs on the ground floor there is a second lounge ( with ample seating, an i pod dock and table football ) a utility room ( with a washing machine and tumble drier) and two further pretty double bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms. Step out of the French doors on this floor onto a large patio area and lawned gardens where you can enjoy an alfresco meal or simply take in the view from the comfort of your lounger.

With a pub, cafe and shop, as well as the beach and coastal path all within walking distance, this is a wonderful holiday retreat.

...And Ponderosa is the realisation of the dream. As you drop over the hill the view of the vast beach unfolds and you truly can feel your cares lifted from you. From the minute we stepped inside the house and saw this view through the glass doors we were sold. It chose us and it is a privilege to share it with so many guests who love it as much as we do.

A gorgeous house in a gorgeous location!

I have been to West wales holiday cottages for the past 24 years. I have never been so bowled over and impressed by my stay at Ponderosa newgale! The house is homely, spacious and charming absolutely brilliant for any family. My dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves as did we! We are going to return next year and cannot wait. The location with sea views are truly breathtaking I would highly recommend this amazing property to anyone who loves beach life truly amazing. Liane Abergavenny

Superb house in superb location! A rare Gem!

What a fantastic house in a great part of Pembrokeshire with so much to do! Ponderosa is in a stunning location with superb sea views for 180 degrees off the long balcony which runs along the length of the house. The panorama is mesmerising and main focal point of the house with Newgale beach visible for most of its length. You won't be able to stop looking out the window or sitting on the balcony relaxing with the sea waves breaking on the beach. The numerous French doors out onto the balcony and lower ground floor gives you full and instant access to the sea views, sea air and waves crashing on the beach which are the real assets of this property as if you are living on the beach! This is our third visit and can confidently say that this house is fantastic and a real luxury being equipped with everything you need and is also extremely clean! I would honestly give this property a 5 star rating without hesitation and is one of our favourite holiday destinations. It's a hidden gem that few know about and Helen (the owner) has really done a great job with this house and we have stayed in a lot of properties and this by far outstrips all of them. There is so much to do locally. Obviously the beach is a 2 minute walk from the house along with access to the Pembrokeshire Way along the cliffs. Highlights include walking the dogs on the beach, surfing, walking the coastal path to Solva and beyond, shopping in St. David's which is a small cathedral town (city?) with a great variety of independent shops, the Cathedral is the main attraction and a must see, also boat trips from Thousand Islands around Ramsey Island from St. Justinian's near St. David's to see the seal colonies, gannets and porpoise which we were very lucky to see this time. This location has it all and is superb. Ponderosa just makes the entire holiday unforgettable and you definitely will not want to leave which is why we always return. Sandy beaches such as Newgale, Whitesands, Marloes in north Pembrokeshire and Barafundle, Broadhaven in south Pembrokeshire are must visits. Ponderosa really is a top quality holiday let for those who want that bit extra and is well worth every single penny. I can't talk highly enough about it. Book it, see for yourself, you will definitely not be disappointed!

beautiful house, breath taking views

We spent 2 weeks at Ponderosa at the start of July and are already planning on going back next year. The house is in the most beautiful of settings with a beach and access to the Pembrokeshire coast walk within about 100m. The views from the windows are something that you could never tire of, from one window open countryside and another the beach.

We were spolit by the weather with only one or two days affected by rain and this definitely highlighted the beauty of the area. With 2 young children we didn’t want to spend too much time travelling and loved the walk along the front to the café for a coffee most mornings. We holidayed with my parents and the house was perfect for all and stocked with everything you could think of.

The surrounding area is beautiful and at the time of year we visited not overly busy. One walk that I would highly recommend is from Aberreidy to Porthgain with Lunch in the Sloop in. It is a couple of miles and was easy enough for my 3 year old to tackle. Other areas of note were Broad Haven beach and Folly Farm but we really enjoyed relaxing in the house and garden and wandering down to the beach.

Overall the house was perfect for the 3 generations of my family and we will be returning next year to sample some more of the Pembrokeshire coast.

Great home away from home

Ponderosa is by far one of the best places to stay with a complete family. We had a great time in this beautifully located, maintained and equiped get-away-home. It made us feel right at home and welcome.

The whole family of 8 was very comfortably accomodated in the 4 great bedrooms all with their own style. We really enjoyed our time in Ponderosa and were said to leave again.
