The ground floor comprises of living room, dining area, separate WC , and kitchen leading to the enclosed patio area. The kitchen is fully equipped. A brief stroll of 2 minutes takes you down into the villages of Kingsand/Cawsand with their excellent selection of pubs and cafes, beaches and rock-pools. The property provides the ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Rame Peninsula via the meandering coastal paths to the secluded beaches of Whitsand Bay and Mount Edgcumbe House Estate.

We live in Western Australia with our dogs Lenny and Lucky. Having gone to college close by, as well as having friends in the villages, we bought Draystone and were fortunate enough to get married and live in Cawsand for a couple of years before work took us further afield. We hope that you get to enjoy Draystone and the surrounding areas.

Wonderful cosy cottage
We stopped over the New Year. The cottage was lovely and cosy, less than 2 minutes from the beach and one of the 4 pubs in Cawsand. It was clean and well decorated. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room. We didn't use the courtyard much but I can imagine its a lovely bit of outside space in the summer. John was very helpful and full of useful information. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Comfortable cottage in the heart of Cawsand
As a family of five with 2 teenage children it was one of our best holidays. There was something for everyone to enjoy, walks, beaches, nice pubs, all close by. Would definitely recommend Draystone.

Fantastic, homely and clean
It was a lovely, peaceful and relaxing village, we loved the CrossKeys and The Shop in the Square. The coastal walks are beautiful, loved the beach at Whitsand bay and Cawsand. The cottage was well equipped and clean, Jo looked after us with fresh linen on the second week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location
This is a lovely cottage, very comfortable and in a brilliant location - Kingsand and Cawsand are two beautiful villages and the cottage is just down the road from Cawsand beach. Very family friendly, and would highly recommend.

Excellent Mountain Biking to be had on Dartmoor.
3 small pebble/sand beaches within 10 minutes walking distance of the property. Whitsand bay is 20 min by car, lovely long sandy beach, surfing and rock pools.
Lovely coastal path walks in either direction, Rame Head (Westwards), Edgcumbe Estate and Maker (Eastwards).
Plymouth is the closest town, approximately 50min by road across the Tamar Bridge, or Torpoint Ferry. The closest railway station is St Germans or Liskeard approximately 25 mins by car. In summer it is possible to arrive by foot ferry from the Barbican, Plymouth. Plymouth/Newquay/Exeter are the best airports to arrive from. Plymouth - Roscoff Ferry terminal 50 mins by car.
Eden Project at St Austell is 50 min away by car. Dartmoor and Exmoor are approximately an hour away. The historical city of Plymouth is a foot ferry ride from the beach in the summer, or 50 min by the Torpoint Ferry/Tamar Bridge.
Several excellent National Trust properties are close by, St Anthony, Lostwithiel, Lanhydrock, Cotele, and Saltram House. Plymouth has the historical Barbican, Aquarium, and Mayflower steps, as well as the Hoe, (Catch the foot ferry over from the beach in the summer).
Kingsand/Cawsand has a lovely vibrant community. The coastal scenery is spectacular. The local pubs all provide good food and local ale! The villages have a number of small shops to buy essential provisions. Fresh fish can ordered locally. The local pubs and cafes, I'd recommend them all for different reasons, but the Devonport, and Crossed Keys are recommended, and a walk or cycle ride to the Cliff Top Cafe at Freathy is not to be missed. The View at Freathy for fresh fish is excellent, (summer only).
Parking is close by the property in a public carpark, 5min walk away. Weekly tickets can be purchased (£35 Cornwall.gov website). Pick up and drop off outside the property is no problem.

Booking Notes: Full payment must be received 30 days before booking date. Bookings will confirmed through Owners Direct website. A damage deposit will be required. Cancellation within 1 month will only return 50%, unless the property is re-booked. Dogs will be charged. Excessive cleaning beyond normal will be charged. Changeover Day: Changeover is Saturday, the property should be vacated by 10:00 am, returned in a clean tidy manner. Incoming guests should be aim to arrive at 3:30 pm. Off season, it may be possible to access the property earlier by arrangement. Parking is close by at an additional charge. Guests should aim to minimise rubbish, and recycle. Notes on prices: Pricing includes linen, and towels for use inside the property. It does not include a refundable damage deposit, held against damage and excessive cleaning. No short stays of less than 1 week are considered. Discounts available for 2 weeks available. Parking: There is no parking at the property, there is a public car park less than 3 mins walk away. It is possible to drop luggage off directly outside the property. See Cornwall Council car park website, weekly ticket ~ £36. Instructions for how to obtain weekly ticket will be sent to confirmed guests. Guests should note that access may be occasionally required, disruption will be kept to a minimum and will be notified ahead of time for convenience
