Our luxurious 2-bed, 2-bath apartment on Roda Golf is beautifully furnished with lots of little extras to make you feel at home. Not only is it great for golf, it's great for kids and great for just relaxing. Everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

FREE Unlimited Wi-Fi available in the apartment.

The apartment in on the 1st floor and located on Phase 2 so within easy walking distance of the golf course and club house. It is also within a few minutes drive of Los Alcazares and the Mar Menor beaches, which are gently shelving and really safe for kids. The stylishly furnished apartment has full air conditioning, full central heating and electric security grills. There's a HUGE, south facing balcony where you can relax in the sun or shade all day. Dine dine Al fresco for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner or just relax with a glass of wine.

There's a TV in the lounge with over 60 satellite channels - including lots for the kids. There's also a DVD player and lots of videos for adults and kids. Plus there's a TV in the master bedroom with essential UK channels and Spanish TV. There's also card and board games for the whole family!

WHAT ELSE:

The apartment at Roda Golf was bought as our holiday home, so because of this, it has lots of stuff in that you wouldn't normally find in a rental apartment. Good pans, good knives, lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses. A large fridge - 'cos that's what you'll need to stock all the great fruit and veg from the area and lots to drink for the kids.

Our apartment has so much more than you might expect to make your holiday enjoyable. There are 2 sunbeds and 2 garden chairs, 2 lilos and other inflatables for the pool. Plus a sun umbrella and buckets and spades for the young ones to take to the beach.

There are duvets for the Winter, but also the option of blankets for the Spring and Autumn when you don't quite need such warmth. Plus fans in both bedrooms as, if you're like us, we don't like to sleep with air-con on overnight. . . . .

There's a visitors guide in the apartment so you can see what's available in the area - including a guide to the beaches, water parks, golf courses and entertainment in Los Alcazares and the Murcia area.

On arrival you will be met at the apartment by Mike and Bev the owners, who will show you round, make sure you know where everything is to ensure you settle in quickly.

We are based in Spain and only a short drive away so if you have any problems whilst you are in our apartment we will try to sort things out over the phone or come to the apartment where that isn't possible. You won't be abandoned to an faceless managing agent.

RODA GOLF RESORT

Roda Golf is now a PGA Academy and lessons are available for children as well as adults. The course is becoming increasing popular with both professionals and amateurs alike. It has hosted many tournaments including a round of the PGA Championships, with competing golfers from all over Europe, and the Spanish Junior Open. In addition, the driving range and practice putting green are both proving to be great attractions.

ABOUT THE MAR MENOR AREA

Roda Golf and Beech Resort is not just for the golfer ................

Located on the Costa Calida, next to the Mediterranean Sea, Roda is just 2 km from Los Alcázares and the Mar Menor.

The promenade and beach stretches for 7 km and the local blue-flag beaches are fantastic having won the Q awards for excellence & safety.

Dotted with "chiringuitos" where you can have tapas to keep you going throughout the day. The water temperature is much higher than the surrounding Mediterranean and is warm enough to swim even in Spring! The gently shelving beaches make it safe for kids.

The waters of the Mar Menor are renowned for their healing properties and the water temperature is warm enough to swim even in early Spring!

About Bev & Mike Pomfret

Bev worked for 30 years in the Financial Sector managing major IT Projects.

Mike was a marketing manager for a leading scientific glassware company.

Married for over 40 years, we sailed the Irish Sea and the Mediterranean in our yacht for 14 years but now only sail occasionally as more sedate pursuits beckon - so we play bridge.

Originally from Manchester, we bought a house in Spain to retire to which is located in a small Spanish village. However, it's old! So we are constantly working on lots of 'reformas' to make it into a place where we can relax and enjoy in our retirement.

Why Bev & Mike Pomfret chose San Javier

We bought our apartment at Roda because of it's closeness to the Costa Calida and the Mar Menor. It's a fantastic place to holiday with it's superb beaches, historic cities to visit . . . not to mention the golf.

Roda Golf is a fully accredited PGA golf course - with driving range, putting green and lessons available for both adults and children.

BUT . . .

We are NOT golfers but bought it for the luxury and location so are living proof that you don't have to play golf to enjoy Roda.

It's close to San Javier airport - so just a 10 minute taxi ride will see you in the apartment. BUT it's not under the flightpath so you won't be disturbed by the noise.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment at Roda Golf was bought as our holiday home, so because of this, it has lots of stuff in that you wouldn't normally find in a rental apartment. Good pans, good knives, lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses. A large fridge - 'cos that's what you'll need to stock all the great fruit and veg from the area and lots to drink for the kids. You'll find inflatables for the pool, sunbeds and chairs for the garden, plus buckets & spades and chairs to take down to the beach.

There are duvets for the Winter, but also the option of blankets for the Spring and Autumn when you don't quite need such warmth. Plus fans in both bedrooms as, if you're like us, we don't like to sleep with air-con on overnight. . . . .

Pool right outside which is great, Kids had a ball in the pool. Beach a short distance away.

Resort is really nice, quiet with a safe atmosphere.

The apartment is really suitable for small children - it's on the first floor and has a full, solid wall making it safer than ground floor apartments. There are window locks and shutters for extra security too. Huge double balcony where you can relax in the sun or shade all day. Start the day with breakfast at out large teak table or dine dine al fresco in the evening. It's the ideal place to put your feet up, read a good book, or have a glass of wine (or two) ! The apartment is on Phase 2 and within easy walking distance of the golf course and club house. It is also within a few minutes drive of Los Alcazares and the Mar Menor beaches, which are gently shelving and really safe for kids. IT'S OUR HOLIDAY HOME TOO so we've added lots of things that you wouldn't normally expect to find in a holiday let. We have even put in Safety equipment including First Aid Kit, Fire Blanket, Smoke Detector, and Carbon Monoxide Detector. Onsite, there are 3 pools to use with fantastic gardens around them and there are plenty of playgrounds to keep the kids happy • The Club house and golf course are just a few minutes walk • The Club house has both indoor and outdoor bar areas and restaurants with live entertainment during the Summer months

Great Apartment in lovely safe golf complex

We have stayed in this apartment now 5 times as it situated in a beautiful secure golf complex. The apartment itself is to a very high standard with lots of little extra touches to make it a very comfortable and home from home stay. Bev and Mike are extremely welcoming owners and kept updated during our stay of different events that were on. The surounding area has gorgeous safe sandy beaches. And their are lots of restaurants accommodating all tastes. We travel as a family with our teenage son so the two bathrooms and WiFi are an absolute bonus. We will return in the future and if you decide to use this lovely apartment I don't think that you will be disappointed.

Perfect relaxing holiday

Firstly Mike and Bev were perfect hosts. Everything was so well organised prior to the holiday we had no concerns at all.

The apartment itself is wonderful clean, all mod cons. Two bedrooms 2 bathrooms was great loads of storage space. A fabulous balcony with a dining table at one side which was shaded so eating outside was perfect the other end of the balcony you could bask in the sun. If not do what we did and relax by the pool which is a great temperature (july) quiet and the neigbours all around are very unintrusive and respectful.

Eating out there is lots of choice - the golf club house served excellent food or bars 10 mins away. Eating in there are 3 major supermarkets 20mins walk away, Days out at the beach you can go to los alcasares which is 5- 10 mins by car or lo pagan which is 20mins by car this had more of a cooling sea breeze. Overall a perfect holiday for my girlfriend and I and will be definitely be going back. Thanks Mike and Bev and see you again soon

very homely

we stayed in bev and mikes apartment for 9 months and found it very clean and with all the things you need for a 9 months stay the internet was excellent the tv had certain times it went walkabout but no problem once Bev explained why, Bev was always a phone call away if we needed any help or advice having the car parking also was very good didn't use swimming pol the view from the terrace gave a lovely setting any body with children could see them at all times in the pool or in the grounds good for security overall a very good stay William and carol smithleft on june 13th 2018.

Great apartment in lovely surroundings

The apartment is lovely and is also very quiet. This is our third visit and will not be our last. Bev and Mike are extremely helpful and nothing is too much. A welcome pack is provided which is great. The apartment is spacious and has lots of little extras. Beach chairs and toys are provided. The balcony spans across the apartment which is not on all the apartments on the resort so you can enjoy sun and shade. The communal pool is set in beautiful gardens and is not too crowded. The golf complex is very secure and all the staff are friendly. The local beaches are lovely with nice warm water. The are many great restaurants in the area. We do hire a car, however during our stay a bus service was available for a small charge to the local town. This was a relaxing and great holiday.

Great flat and great landlady

We were very happy staying in this flat. It was very clean, well furnished and felt homey. Bev was perfect , very professional, nothing was missing and she was very keen to help and provide advice. Further the residence is quiet, well maintained and not far from the beach, only 5 minutes by car. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely clean, spacious apartment. Really well equipped with a welcome pack which is a lovely touch. The pool area is lovely and generally quiet. A car is definitely recommended as there are lovely areas nearby to visit

Getting to Roda couldn't be easier. The Costa Calida and Mar Menor is served by it's own airport at San Javier, which is only a short, 10 minute taxi drive.

It is also just 1 hours drive from Alicante Airport.

Car Hire isn't essential. BUT ... it is advised.

Los Alcazares centre is a 2 km walk and it will make all the difference if you want to play at other courses or see the beautiful scenery around the Mar Menor.

The beaches are dotted with "chiringuitos" - bars selling a variety of Tapas dishes, refreshments & local beer!

LOS NAREJOS

The nearest beach at Los Narejos is just 2 km from the resort. Gently shelving and really safe for kids. Apart from the height of Summer, the beach is usually quiet and is my personal favourite. The beach bars serve reasonably priced tapas, snacks and burgers. Start from here to walk the promenade all the way to the Yacht Club at the other end of Los Alcazares.

SANTIAGO DE LA RIBERA

The fishing village of Santiago de la Ribera is just 10 minutes drive away. It grew as a prime holiday destination for wealthy Murcians who built their houses along the coast. Santiago has a lovely promenade flanked by attractive palm trees. Today Santiago is still popular with the Spanish for their vacations but also attracts tourists from all over Europe and although it has a modern air, it has still maintained its ‘fishing village’ atmosphere. It has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Santiago de la Ribera boasts a popular water-sports centre and sailing club so with it's superb safe beaches, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, cycling, a sports centre, and scuba diving ..... It's a great place to visit

LO PAGAN

Lo Pagan, near San Pedro del Pinatar, is a 20 minute drive and a visit is a must to take in the famous mud baths which has been renowned from early times for its healing powers. Get dirty ... by applying the mud all over the body and then dry out in the sun before washing off in the salt waters. The kids will love it!

CARTAGENA & MURCIA

Travel further afield to visit the roman ruins at Cartagena of the historic city of Murcia where you'll find amazing buildings and churches.

AIR CONDITIONING:
Sadly, due to severe abuse in the past, we have reluctantly had to installed a meter linked to the air conditioning system only. (All other electricity and utility costs are covered by the rental charges)
We include a complimentary 100 units – so approximately 5-6 hours usage per day.
Extra usage is charged at 25 cents (20p) per unit and is payable on departure.

CHANGEOVER DAY:
Flexible changeover day.
The property is available for arrival between 17:00 and 22:00 hours and should be vacated by 12:00 hours on the day of departure (local time).
Late check-in between 22:00/24:00 available - at an additional cost of €30.
Arrival/Departure outside these times must be agreed prior to booking.
We may be able to accept early check-in or late check-out (for a fee) - please ask before booking.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
