This beautiful chalet has 2 double bedrooms and 1 with 2 single beds making it suitable for families, couples and groups of friends. It has a large shower so children can shower with you or alone. There is WIFI, and a television and DVD player in the sitting area. The kitchen area is well equipped with a fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker and washing machine. It has verandas to the front and back and an enclosed garden with a barbecue. There is private parking for 3 cars. There are 8 wooden steps up to the Chalet. The Chalet itself is all on one level with a large easy access shower. As we are half way way up a steep hill it is probably best if you have your own transport although we have had several groups of visitors who have come by train and had a very successful stay using public transport, taxi and walking. It has panoramic sea views to the front but to the side and rear are woods and orchards giving it a rural feel, you can often hear owls at night. It is a 5 minute walk into the pretty village of Gulval. Penzance is a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk with its range of restaurants and nightlife. We are in a perfect position to explore the wonderful beaches of Penwith and the famous coast path which passes by the Mount through the idyllic fishing village of Mousehole ,onto Lamorna Cove before reaching the towering and dramatic granite cliffs of Lands End. If you enjoy surfing then we are 15 minutes away from Sennen, Hayle and St Ives. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to culture with the famous Tate gallery in St Ives and excellent galleries in Newlyn and Penzance. Penzance has it's own thriving theatre.
3 bedroom chalet, sleeps 6 with stunning sea views in a rural location.

About Mandy Reid
Hello, my name is Mandy and I live with my partner Ronnie on our 3 acre smallholding. My 4 grandchildren love coming to visit the chickens and rabbits and they are always enthusiastic helpers when it comes to harvesting the raspberries and strawberries! I've worked as a teaching assistant in the village school 5 minutes down the hill for the last 14 years so I feel very much part of the community. When I'm not in the garden, I enjoy cooking with the produce and most craft activities. Ronnie and I love walking on the glorious southwest footpath but I can't say we are dedicated walkers as our outings tend to be planned round plenty of stops for pub lunches and cream teas!
Mandy Reid purchased this Chalet in 1994
Why Mandy Reid chose Penzance
I feel we are in the perfect position, half way up a hill overlooking the sea but in the the country. Very rural but 5 minutes walk into a pretty village and 5 minutes drive into historic Penzance with all its facilities and amenities. We are centrally placed for St Ives and Lands End and we very close to St Michaels Mount and the beautiful secluded, coastal villages of Mousehole and Zennor .On a practical note, we are within easy reach of 3 supermarkets, 2 being a comfortable walking distance and all three less than 5 minutes drive. we are a 5 minute drive to the train station or a 20 minute walk.
What makes this Chalet unique
West Cornwall is (in my opinion!) one of the most beautiful places you are likely to visit with its beautiful sandy coves, rugged coastline and soaring granite cliffs. Whether you enjoy walking, surfing or just lying on a glorious beach soaking up the sun and the view , you will be in heaven here! Inland offers some unique attractions too, with the wild moors full of stone circles and prehistoric iron age villages.

Fantastic Chalet with wonderful views
We had a marvellous stay at Helnoweth Lodge. Mandy was welcoming and helpful. The chalet was equipped with all necessities and many extras. I would highly recommend.
Beautiful spacious chalet.
We had an amazing stay at this property, located off the beaten track with fabulous views of the sea and only a short walk into Penzance. We were greeted by Mandy who had left fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The Chalet was beautifully equipped with everything you could need. The weather wasn't great for a few days but the place is so cosy we all just relaxed and played the vast selection of board games, much needed chill time. We will definitely be returning for another stay here.
Fabulous few days in Cornwall!

Quaint lodge in a great location
This is a quaint and cosy lodge, within easy reach of numerous sights such as St Michael's Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Land's End and has its own view of the sea. The owner, Mandy, was very helpful and accommodating. We had a great time and would come again.
