Beautifully Renovated 2 Bed Apartment with Fell Views in the Wasdale Valley

Scafell View is a beautifully renovated 2 Bed Apartment set in the Heart of Wasdale Valley in The Lake District. The property is on the first floor offering breathtaking views to the Scafell Range.

Nestled below Buckbarrow and Middle Fell in the Wasdale Valley the apartment is in an ideal location for an active Walking / Climbing holiday or a relaxing break away from it all surrounded by stunning scenery. There are some fantastic walks to be had directly from the property, with paths leading to Buckbarrow, Middle Fell and Seatallan on the doorstep. The shores of Wastwater are within a 15 minute stroll taking in the views. Wasdale Head is a 10 minute drive away at the feet of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike.

The property itself has been recently renovated and has all modern conveniences to hand including Broadband and Smart TV to keep the Kids (& Grown ups!) entertained after a days exploring. It has a landline if you need to keep in touch with the Outside World, although it can be easily unplugged if you want to make the most of the lack of phone signal on your break in the Lakes!

There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the local area - The Famous Wasdale Head Inn is a short drive away, as are Nether Wasdale, Santon Bridge and Gosforth offering a great selection from Hearty Pub Grub to one of the best Italian Restaurants in West Cumbria.

There is a Village Store in Gosforth (approx 10 minutes drive away) that offer a good range of products. The major supermarket chains also deliver to the property if required.

There are a number of attractions to visit within easy reach from the apartment, examples of which are:

Muncaster Castle & Owl Sanctuary

The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway (The La'al Ratty)

Whitehaven Marina & Attractions

Not to mention the many other Lake District Landmarks, Towns and Villages that can be visited in the surrounding area.

About Sharon

Myself and my partner both grew up in the local area and live not too far from Wasdale. We have 3 kids under 7. We like to get out into the Lake District as much as possible in our spare time.

Sharon purchased this apartment in 2016

Why Sharon chose England

When the chance arose to own a property in Wasdale (one of our favourite places) we jumped at the chance, the location is fantastic and when we first walked into the dining room to see the views across to Scafell Pike we thought the property would also make a fantastic Holiday Let.

We live fairly close by so make the most of the property with our young family as much as possible. There are amazing walks, Greendale Gill flows down the valley right behind the property, the children can play in the shallow pools in the Summer months. We have barbecues down at the Lake in Summer it really is an amazing place.

We hope if you decide to stay in our apartment you enjoy Scafell View as much as we do!

We are a local family and everything within the apartment is maintained and managed by ourselves, so our service is very personal . Our aim is to offer a clean and comfortable holiday let hoping for good customer satisfaction.

We try our upmost best to please our customers, hoping for repeat bookings and good recommendations of the apartment.

Living within a short drive to the property, means we are always on hand if you have any issues how ever big or small.

Cozy apartment with incredible views.

We had a lovely stay at Scafell View. The surrounding views were stunning and it was in a great location to walk Scafell and the surrounding fells and tarn.

The apartment itself was lovely, and felt like home from the moment we stepped through the door. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was that the shower had very little water pressure and the shower head wouldn’t stay up so it was a shame after such a long day walking. That being said, it didn’t put us off and we had such a nice stay that we would love to come back again.

Communication with the owners when booking and after has been great and we were reassured with directions and recommendations of some lovely pubs nearby too.

It was clear by the way the apartment had been presented, a great deal of thought and care had been put into making our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Real attention to detail with good quality furnishings and thoughtful home comforts to consider all the family's needs. The setting was spectacular and literally on the door-step with an abundance of walks to fill your days. An excellent place to stay and we would highly recommend it. We will certainly be booking again!

great views, cosy and well located

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and stayed for a week in late October. The hosts are very helpful and provide good directions and information. The apartment itself is lovely. The accommodation is very comfortable and we enjoyed returning to the little complex of cottages and the flat each evening after exploring the local walks. Probably not for those who are looking for amenities on the doorstep but we would definitely recommend it for couples and small families looking for a getaway with a remote feel and exceptional views of the mountains.

Superbly presented, well equipped apartment in a great location.

Scafell View was booked by us last minute, as I'd managed to secure an extra day off work that weekend. What a gem it turned out to be.

We wanted a place to stay close to Scafell so this apartment was ideal.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by a lovely basket of treats and how beautiful the interior was. We found the beds comfortable and the kitchen the best equipped of anywhere we've stayed to date.

The location was absolutely perfect for us, with the Scafells just a few minutes drive away and smaller walks starting right outside the building.

Real effort and attention to detail has gone into this apartment and we really would recommend it to anybody looking to stay in the area.

Excellent bank holiday weekend break in the lakes

The apartment was ideal for all five of us (2 adults, 3 children) for the three nights we stayed. The apartment was well equipped and modern, yet with a homely feel. There is also a fantastic view of Scafell pike from the lounge windows. The apartments location, whilst remote, was ideal for walks around Wastwater and Scafell itself. The couple of local pubs were also great after a long walk, offering good food and drink within a short drive of the apartments. Highly recommended.
