This is an amazing property it has everything, home from home I can’t fault it in any way. The location is fabulous within walking distance from everywhere. I would stay hear again in a minute.
A wonderful place in a perfect location
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay. In January, with so few tourists about, we felt part of the local community. Getting about was easy.
What a great apartment!
We we were so happy with this apartment! It is beautiful! Everything was very clean! We had a great deal of space for a family of 5 and we really felt like we were living in our own apartment in Venice!
Its no wonder it has such amazing reviews!
The apartment has a great location and an incredible view! We were able to get our water taxi to drop us off right at the entrance and pick us up right there as well which is fantastic because I think it would be impossible to walk all over Venice with luggages!
The location is a little bit of a far walk from Plaza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge but very close to great restaurants, shops and other plazas. I think the fact that it was so cold and it was New Years Eve and only the most touristy places were open, made it feel further that it might actually be. A 25 minute walk is very different in 30 degree weather than 75 degree weather.
All in all we would definitely stay here again! It was a great experience!
Thank you so much!
Off the beaten path
Location is very close to Roma Square and the train station which is very convenient. There are restaurants and grocery stores near by. Thank you!!
GREAT Location! Check in easy! Listing needs updating
Our first trip to Venice. The location of this VRBO is perfect to be just far enough removed from the busyness of the touristy center of town, but close to vaparetto stop, super market, and great food. Check in with Julia was amazing. She was immensely helpful and patient with our many questions.
The listing is very mildly inaccurate in a couple things I felt important to mention so you are aware: there is no dryer (no big deal because you can hang clothes which we did) and more importantly for those who have difficulty with stairs, we did not see an elevator, which is listed. We were able to maneuver the stairs fine, but if you walk with a cane or crutches or wheelchair, you will not be able to get up the stairs. Finally, totally out of the owner's control, there is a pub-style location across the water that is quite loud until about 1 AM nightly.
Overall, we loved our stay, and would definitely choose this location again!
I am sorry if there were errors in the listing which affected your stay. these have now been updated.
Best wishes Jon
Great Location. Spoiled by lack of care.
The house is in a great location for sightseeing and restaurants with a vaporetto stop very close by. It is comfortable and well furnished though some kitchen utensils were broken . Unfortunately the apartment was not well cleaned, particularly the second bedroom which had many cobwebs and layers of dust. The hot water did not work on arrival and had to be remedied and there was no bath mat.
It was unfortunate that we were not allowed to leave our suitcases for a few extra hours on our last day, even though guests should not arrive until after 1500. It meant dragging our cases around Venice before boarding our late afternoon train.
I am sorry that our housekeeping on this occasion did not meet our normal exceptional standard. I have spoken to the team who have assured me this was only a temporary issue and now fully resolved.
We are more than happy to accommodate holding of bags on early arrival/late departure so am sorry this was not communicated to you.
Your first glimpse of Venice, the pearl of the Adriatic, is of a magnificent vision of a city rising from the waters of the lagoon. The unique light has fascinated artists and travellers for centuries. As perhaps the greatest trading state Venice has absorbed different cultures like no other City. Its unrivalled blend of cultures is evidenced in the truly magnificent array of architectural styles from Byzantine through to Renaissance elegance and even the neo Fascist architecture of the railway station.
The Grand Canal runs through the centre of the city with its numerous smaller canals and 400 plus bridges link the city and its succession of palazzi.
From the first refugees arriving to the rise of the great Venetian empire of the 13th century and the later Napoleonic invasion, Venice has it all.
